Hey… It’s been a while. I know I’ve been distant, but please know it wasn’t my intention to make you feel abandoned. I was going through some changes and everything was coming at me so fast. I didn’t have the time to fully process what was going on and slowly found myself getting lost in the motions. But I’m ready now. So to fill you in on what’s been happening. Let’s rewind a bit.

Tiii she's still under contract. Her management has been so lenient with her. Reckless talaga lumabag sa kontrata. Iba na to sa utang na loob ang pinaguusapan dito is being grateful.....the latter is what here management is asking for in addition to respect. Grabe grind nila para pasikatin siya. Kung kaya ni liza pasikatin yung sarili niya eh bakit di siya nag indipedent artist di wala sana siya manager na makukuda. Through the duration of her contact desisyon palagi si ate gurl. Hinanapan na ng roles to audition for pero pag ayaw... Edi don't na lang... yung management na ang tumiklop sa starlet sheeeshh. I'm impartial neither a fan of both sides pero tiiii kahit saang culture naman ata nageexist ang gratefulness. Happy na happy sa life niya pero panay kuda sa process of getting there.... I mean...... Guuuuurrllll?? Pinautang sila ng milyones without interes te! Shuta kung sa bumbay yan isusmiyo te patay ka na may utang ka pa! Kaya Whatchumean hahaha. Did you really think you can follow your passion without making sacrifices on your journey getting there. Lemme just say sis is pretty and fact is pretty people get away with almost everything. Alsooooo miss maam couldve just paid her way to get out of the contract. Like pay for a breech of contract settlement and shit? The math aint really mathin' boo Dami niyo eme kung chaka to si inday puro na batikos narinig nito.....and that's the toxic pinoy culture youre looking for siz. Not utang na loob (which is also fucking toxic af but dzai not in this context)

As far as I know she was no longer with starmagic and ogie diaz. So she is free to do anything...actually she can do whatever she wants.. why so much drama and so many complains bout her previous mgt who i think managed her well..She could have just said ThANK U and then move forward... just saying.

I read articles about Liza being not grateful for her past achievements and career but watching this video is the opposite. This girl just taking a different path, rediscovering herself, and that's just a new motivation. I think this rebranding of her is brave. I want to see Liza step out from generic genres and see more of her hidden talents. Way to go Liza. You're an inspiration.

There is a difference between not grateful and 'just taking a different path'. Not being grateful means unappreciative or in Tagalog, walang utang na loob. 'Just taking a different path' simply means choosing a career path. They are not the same as can be seen/heard on the video.

But that setup made her a star! That single male co-star and three directors she worked with helped her to get a name in the industry. I don't know if it's just how it was written in this picture/article, but she sounded ungrateful; could have used the words, I'm grateful to have worked for 13 years being paired with (name of actor) and worked with 3 great directors (names), to sound appreciative because even though she felt boxed, it still benifited her. There's no problem with wanting to explore and be independent, but never forget your starting point, be humble! Because we might not now, if we don't succeed exploring, we'll come back from where we started. Don't burn bridges.

I only have two liked videos in KZfaq since I started this account 5 years ago. One of those videos is this one. I give so much respect and value to people and stories like this one. Stories associated with people making wise but difficult decisions in their lives. Stories of enlightenment and profound wisdom. Much respect to you, Hope. I was never wrong about how I felt about you. I always knew there's something special about your energy. I felt the same energy with Catriona Gray in 2019 and even with Sam Milby a long time ago when I read an article about his philosophy about love and relationships in the newspaper. The tabloid even titled the article, "you shouldn't take Sam Milby's advice on relationships" or something like that. Well, I was one of those people who did take his advice-actually, no-I already shared the same belief as his at that moment. What's funny is that Sam and Catriona are together now and are, in fact, engaged. What are the odds? Because of this great decision you made in your life, I am very proud to see my favourite female artist in the entire Philippine show business-I'm not even exaggerating. You really are my favourite, but it's not about your talent but your personal character as for my judgement to your philosophies-taking her huge leap in life after her spiritual journey. Figures like you truly inspire me to take my own spiritual journey more seriously. Indeed, you are one of the best gifts from God. Thank you for opening your journey to us. 👏 P.S The other video that I 'liked' is Prince Ea's "Quitting Social Media (2023)."

Puro love teams na laging magkasama sa movies and series na similar naman plots and twists na lang kasi dito satin. Actually, nakakasawa na yung ganun. Kaya nga nahuhumaling sa foreign movies and dramas mga kabataan ngayon e. We need more of Liza who is willing to break the mold/barrier para ma-explore naman natin and maenjoy yung ibang klase ng media entertainment na Hollywood level.

@minuteofyourtime
@minuteofyourtime Жыл бұрын
To Hope/Liza: Intention versus Impact. Those two are the hardest to align. This is were you inadvertently fell short. This is where you as the captain of your ship, failed. You wanted a “say” and you got exactly what you wished for. You spoke your truth, or your version of it and people on the other side had to as well. Not as a matter of attack on you but because they also had the right to speak theirs. In my mind, was mentioning the opportunity costs necessary? To what end? To set a baseline? Did you need to justify the rebrand or the need for growth? The simple answer for me is NOPE. You could have just moved on.. You speak of growth, you speak of rebrand, you speak….that is the core of the problem. You open your mouth and expect the world to just “understand” but when your words slice other people directly and indirectly, intentional or not, the impact outweighs the intent. If you know what is right for you, shouldn’t that be enough? You always had a choice-that is a fact, no matter how difficult the process is to choose one, you always had a choice. After all is said and done, one thing is evident. Through no fault of your own, you still have to learn a lot of things, how contacts work, finance, commissions, legal right, waiving your rights and estoppel (he principle which precludes a person from asserting something contrary to what is implied by a previous action or statement). I am sure by now, you know that the world is not kind. I’m sure you learned how lacking you are when it comes to being mindful of your words. Unless you like bad press for breakfast, it is in your best interest to be careful --not careless. Your star is falling fast. Your management team has been true to their word-- they could not care less. I am quite positive that you got their blessing before you released this vlog and you got a resounding YES! They allowed you to singlehandedly ruined your reputation-that is a fact. Boy, can they make things happen, huh. Be careful of the “yes, people around you-often, they just let you hear what you want to hear-that’s a bit careless, I think. You crave so much, you want to do a lot, you want to grow your artistic talent, you want to experience the hardships, well, congratulations, you did great on the this vlog. Might I suggest that you reflect the growth and creative freedom you so crave in the projects and work you do. Growth is a process, a journey. Let your daily decisions reflect the growth you peak of, you are 25 for crying out loud yet you still fail to see the repercussions of actions-to make it worst you seem surprised at the backlash. For the love of what is good and pure, just focus on your work. Your star is fading faster than you can say Jake Zyrus. Yeah, that singer who used to be on top of the world, remember? There is an empty chair beside her with your name on it. Careless. The world we live in puts a lot of emphasis on success. We all define that differently. As Liza Soberano, the world they created for you was curated, artificial if you may. So when you speak your truth, know that your truth is a product of a vacuum so thread lightly, be quiet as you learn, think before you open your mouth. You are always one decision away for ruining your life -we all are to be honest. I remember the lines from the song For Good (Wicked): I've heard it said That people come into our lives for a reason Bringing something we must learn And we are led To those who help us most to grow If we let them And we help them in return Well, I don't know if I believe that's true But I know I'm who I am today Because I knew you

Hi Hope! I can relate to you a lot. I'm 25 now but for 24 years of my life, I've always been a sheltered one. Always doing what my parents want for me. So before the year 2022 ended, I've decided to leave our house and live independently on my own. A lot of my friends were shocked at what I've done, knowing fully that I'm the youngest and always being a filial one. I've encountered panic attacks, anxiety and depression in 2022 for the entire year. My parents knew only the tip of the reason why, but the entire thing is about my freedom. I want to know myself, challenge myself and be out there with people. The pandemic made me distant myself from being social and it gave me lots of distress. Kudos to your decision to finally speak up and act on your own accord! It was always a brave thing to get out of our comfort zone but you did it for your peace and happiness. I get what she's trying to say, I feel like yung issues na nabibuild dahil sa rebranding nya is connected sa toxicity ng culture as a filipino. nung napanood ko yung vlog niya, her mindset was more of like an american, yung concept nila na "you do what's best for you even if it means having to call people out with their bullshit" which is actually in my opinion, very healing. the fact that she's trying to clear everything up with her filipino fan base (interview here and with bea) shows na she hasnt completely cut everything off, na she has a rational take with everything that has happened, and unlike sa opinion ng iba na "she needs therapy" (coming from therapy myself) I see na this outlook came from a healthy place. I relate to her sa sense na kinupkop ako ng relatives ko, pinakain nila ko, let me experienced above middle class lifestyle, pero that doesnt change the fact na I grew up in a traumatic environment. It doesnt change my present reality na I have a lot of trauma because of them. ofcourse I'll always be grateful for everything they've done for me, but denying the "fact" that they've hurt would just be me not healing. and I feel like that's what liza was trying to say... yeah she's grateful pero its a fact na she had to sacrifice a lot of things, and possibly built resentment in the process. which is completely normal. Pinoy lang naman obsessed sa "utang na loob" eh. I commented this on the fast talk with BA, but I felt like I needed to comment this here as well. I get that the noise is loud right now, and if just incase the noise gets louder than the peace you've built, I just want to remind you na what you felt and what you delt with are all true, the struggles that you went through are all real, and what youre feeling right is now as completely valid. just because in our filipino culture toxicity is normal, doesn't mean that everything you felt was okay as well. hope you dont forget why you started this in the first place. I know you've got a lot of supporters even now, I just felt like with hundreds of people against you it wotn hurt to add one more in your corner, just know that there are people who validates you. we're all humans and we all deserve kindness. leave the toxicity in the Philippines, you dont need that baggage along with your new journey, I hope you enjoy yourself despite everything else!! -with love 🌹

When you speak your mind, you're misinterpreted as being rude or ungrateful. When you give suggestions, you're misinterpreted as being too proud. Most people judge you without understanding the whole matter, especially, when a negative idea comes in first before hearing the whole story. As you embark on your personal growth, your circle changes. If you are not losing some friends, you are not growing up. Loyalty can also keep us stuck in the wrong people, you know. As your soul rejoices to the choice you've made, it radiates to what you do. You are ready to move beyond the old you. Growth can be painful and grief may come along for the ride. Don’t feel bad about finally being able to be “you” but at the same time, acknowldge your past as the stepping stone to your final destination. Your past played a big role to where you are right now. ++ I hope this rebranding of Liza allow more artist to break the norm, and allow themselves to consider authenticity. Sana maging eye-opener din ito sa industry na 'wag nilang i-box ang artists nila like having them stick around one love team only (for a more solid fan-base, i guess?), tas ayun nga na umiikot lang sa same-old, cliche genres ang projects. :(( I think isa rin ito sa reason why Ph is lagging in terms of films/dramas- wala masyadong diversity, and the artists are obviously "boxed." It's high time to step up, and glad Liza initiated the move

Hi Hope, As women, we grow up with the idea that in order to be valuable we have to be *of* value and service to others. This belief has become so ingrained in us, that setting boundaries and learning to put ourselves first not only seems like a scary task, but one that comes laden with guilt. Setting personal boundaries is unfortunately something a lot of women struggle with. It’s not that it’s bad to give of ourselves to our families, friends, communities and work or career. It’s that if we over-extend ourselves to others, we put ourselves on the back burner of our own lives. We end up being lived, instead of being fully alive. That’s why we need 👉🏻healthy boundaries. They set the standard on how we want to be treated, and help us regain control over our existence. To liberate ourselves from guilt we need to understand that the only validation we truly need is our own. The more you trust your intuition, the more empowered you become, the stronger you become, and the happier you become. Remember always that you not only have the right to be an individual, you have an obligation to be one. At times you have to leave the city of your comfort and go into the wilderness of your intuition. What you’ll discover will be wonderful. What you’ll discover is yourself. Love yourself enough to set 👉🏻boundaries. Your time and energy are precious. You get to choose how you use it. You teach people how to treat you by deciding what you will and won’t accept. You have no responsibility to live up to what other people think you ought to accomplish. Dare to believe that good things are possible when you follow your heart. At the center of your being you have the answer; you know who you are and you know what you want. Life is really simple, but unfortunately, a few of those surrounding us often insist on making it complicated by letting sensitivity, emotions, & old school beliefs, & traditions get in the way…. Yet the only constant in life is Change. All you can do in regard to your own life is choose the best path that you believe in. If you don’t make courageous choices for yourself, nobody else will. As long as you look for someone else to validate who you are by seeking their approval, you are setting yourself up for disaster. The less you care about validation, the more you grow. You have to be whole and complete in yourself. No one can give you that. You have to know who you are - what others say is purely irrelevant. You will never gain anyone’s approval by proving something or begging for it. When you stand confident in your own worth, remember 👉🏻respect follows. Nobody can tell you what to do. No matter what obligations you feel you owe them. Time is also a limited resource. You can respond to a comment on Facebook with an opinion no one will care about in a hundred years, or you can do something. Be prepared to shed all of the irrelevant & toxic people from your life that benefitted from your lack of boundaries. The moment you feel you have to prove your worth to someone is the moment to absolutely and utterly walk away. Love yourself enough to leave behind anything or anyone that no longer serves your best interest. Hope.. I’m not here to empower you. Because I know that you already have everything you need within you.. You have charm, wit, heart, passion, and strength and power beyond what you think you’re capable of. You have the knowledge and resources to learn more, do more, and achieve more. You have skills and life experience that no other woman has, and that gives you your own unique perspective on the world. You are 👉🏻empowered because you have those qualities; no one can take them away from you. Nor can someone give you permission, authority, or power to show up as your beautiful, authentic self. Empowering women is the fundamental right of every women in this world & you already know about the importance of 👉🏻women's empowerment. It's not easy to share your experiences and be vulnerable, but it can give that much needed voice to thousands or millions of women you continue to inspire. You are young goddess who embody female wisdom, strength and empowerment. The gift is obviously ALREADY yours.. it is engraved in you! So continue on your mission. You’re in the right path & millions around the world (2.1 Millions views so far) are witnessing that 👉🏻paradigm shift already.. As for the backlash, haters.. negative reviews, opinions, & naysayers… Ignore’em.. Remember people who repeatedly attack your confidence and self-esteem are quite aware of your 👉🏻potential. Too many people spend their whole lives chasing after the approval of others. If you know your true worth, you do not need anyone else to confirm it. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most importantly, always hang on to that courage & wisdom within you to follow your heart and intuition. Let GOD guide you thru journey thru life…. Everyone else is secondary. God Bless you young lady❤ Ms. Hope Soberano🌹

Wow😮 what a complete Psychoooo B!tch??!? Go 👉🏻watch yourself in this video… then… see a shrink Fermin!! You guys totally blew-up a vlog that didn’t have anything to do with you Christy in the first place! The Girl’s contract is over! She has every right to move on & grow as an individual. Yet you cherry pick, misunderstood, & made a big deal of her intention out of nothing - So for what? Why? To put attention back on yourselves? because you’re laos? Your friend Ojie have loss a multi-million client & an Actress capable of more??? You guys know her potential that’s why you kept attacking her!!! C’mon you’re not bull-shitting anyone here! Old school batikos will just land you on court for defamation of character! That’s the Karma to your controversies! Her contract is done! She fulfilled her obligations! She doesn’t need to explained anything to anyone esp to you! So shut up! & mind your own business Fermin!! Who do u think u are God??? Even God doesn’t obligate us to anything! You just want attention for views!!! Yeah you got views! Alright!! Your disgusting attitude out for the world to see… If any … your too old & nearing your time- So spend the rest & remaining time being 👉🏻kind, and help motivate our younger generation … Women like you should promote 👉🏻 Women Empowerment because that is what Lisa is doing to the younger generations! Inspiring & empowering us to grow, be independent & choose for ourselves! Where most women around the planet doesn’t even have rights to do so!!! Shame on you & all your Filipino narrow minded crab mentality for dragging people down just to get the MARITES attention! Pathetic! That’s who you are! If Lisa is engrata? you’re sawsawera & paki-alamera. Matanda ka na! Magbago ka na! Pati si San Pedro nasusuka sa mga lumalabas bibig mo! Filipino ka nga, Americana si Lisa pero sa inaasta mo mas nakakahiya ka!!! Your journalism style is soooo TOXIC & promotes tasteless unwarranted over exagerated pointless scheme! & hate at the most! All negative!!! Hindi lahat ng Filipino palangkera @ cheap! Matataas na pinag-aralan ng generation Z! So shame on your dirty mouth! Wash it w/ soap! Gargle with 99% rubbing alcohol or bleach! Covid might be stuck still inside your disgusting mouth!!! And yeah - See a shrink! Or perhaps google translate her vlogg again!??? See her true intention! Don’t make it about yourself & your friend 👉🏻because not everything is about you two!!! The kid wants to grow & venture in the next chapter if any her 👉🏻She has every right to do so!!! And you have no say in any of it! It’s her life!!! You obviously have some comprehension issue? ESL might be a class worth taking? - You know “English as a second language!” You have no class or any breeding in you & journalism style is pure basura! so yeah you need proper schooling but mostly you need to see a shrink! Go to a mental facility & locked yourself there until you learned to be kind & worth to be in public eye! Shame on you! Low class! Or mah bad.. I meant 👉🏻no class 👉🏻So Seriously get out of the media industry & journalism! Your mouth needs alot if disaffecting!! And you are a Disgusting old lady inside & out! You don’t deserved to be in the industry! You ruined people for money??? Lord that style is so dead! What a complete waste! Toxic & heavily polluted!!! In other words.. You are garbage & a pure waste of oxygen on planet earth!! Get out of the industry & go see a Psychiatrist!!!

Not a fan but I always thought that you can do better than being caged in a love team cause I see potential. Proud that you finally made a decision of your own and you inspire us to do the same. One of the things I pick up from this vlog is that it's never too late to start something new and to take risks. Never let someone hold you back and stop you from realizing your full potential. You have broken a cycle Hope, and I hope the showbiz industry here in PH can take this into consideration to finally make a change with the way things are right now.

And yet, she still uses the name Liza. Shoud've used her real name in celebration of her freedom. I agree with her sentiments about her "restrictive" career but the fact is, she's still reaping the benefits of the very same industry/management that she is criticizing. Haynakooo.

Lesson learned from viral scam by using popularity like artist, influencers… Even they don’t actually use the brand but because of the talent fee or contract . Like whitening products, even influencers are not real fair and flawless skin. Use the product that suits your skin not because of your idol endorsement. Be real, be natural, no to surgery , natural beauty

You go, girl, I am so PROUD and HAPPY about who you become now.YOLO! YOU ARE THE ONLY ONE IN THAT INDUSTRY WHO HAS THE GUTS TO SAY & SHOW THE WORLD. THIS IS ME ❤️. It's very unprofessional and unacceptable how they manage their people in the industry. They need to control the person for the sake of popularity like what happened to your past. They only want a good profile just to show off and make it believe that everything is Real & True. Of all people in that industry, 95% are FAKE. They are friends if you're Popular & Rich. When you become a NONENTITY all of you're “Friends” are GONE. REMINDER: Don't listen to all who criticize you. THEY ARE JUST JEALOUS AND IGNORANT CAUSE THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT IT FEELS LIKE TO BE ON YOUR OWN BOSS. Keep it up, Girl 100% my support is in You ❤

Is it just me? But while watching this vlog. I felt how sincere and happy she became now. It's like we just saw a new and fresh Liza or Hope, and we know that we'll love her still no matter what path or decisions that she would made. Honestly, I've never been a fan of her since then, but now, I realized that supporting this kind of a person who just had a realization on what she wanted to do is very genuine. A very brave and smart move of an artist who have been in a peak of star before but chose to fight for what she really wants and I'm so happy that she felt the satisfaction of her decisions. Please, to everyone who really loves her. Let's support her, this is the first time that an artist like her speaks up for what they want, and I would always look up with this kind of a person and a woman. I wanted you to know Liza, or whatever that you wanted to be called now. You did a great job! We believe in you and to your passion. May God bless you always. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Filipinos in general has a very linear perspective about career, or life in general. For many, they think a happy life is just getting a stable job or career, lots of material stuff, complete family, and a lot more. But personal happiness is uniquely defined by each of us. Just let people discover their happiness, pursue their talents and dreams. If you have sons and daughters, siblings, or loved ones… wouldn’t you support their dreams or goals in life? So let Liza or Hope rather, lead her life where she thinks she can find her happiness.

i think this is why philippines is a poor country. or even filipinos in general. because we all are "grateful" with less even though we deserve and CAN reach something more. we choose to settle for less and encourage other people to do the same instead of takings risks to boost your career. "dont be too ambitious, be thankful na mayroon kang ganyan." so you choose to be complacent. this is what makes our culture so stagnant. you all are so afraid of change and progress that you choose to "be grateful nalang for what you have." i call this toxic positivity

You only point out the part where she wants to pursue her own path. Wala namang masama dun. People are very supportive of that. But what about the part where she kinda dissed her former handlers by only talking about how she was put in a box, controlled, only paired to one leading man, exposed to only 3 genres, never had a say in her career, etc.. ? D ba puro nega?! Sana nagpasalamat na lng sya and move forward kung saan nya gusto pumunta para hindi sana nagba-backfire pagrere-brand nya.
