The recording engineer needs to learn how to record jazz drummers. I SEE the drummer playing cymbals, but I don't hear them. All I hear are close mics on drums and snare, pop/rock style.

Hello Jim, thank you for your comment. It's true, it really makes a difference on which device you watch the video and how YT compresses the sound again.

@@WDRBIGBAND No, it's not compression, it's a recording engineer who doesn't "get it." I'm a retired recording engineer who specialized in live jazz, and I watched live sound crews close mic drums but ignore cymbals because that 's what they taught in pop music sound "schools." The styles of drumming are totally different.
