When I was at high school in the 70's, it was "uncool" for a guy my age to like Abba. They were for the girls and families. We were into our Pink Floyd and Led Zepplin. Years later, when I listen to Abba now, I just think "I had no idea" - I don't think I've ever heard two voices blend so well. You close your eyes when they're singing together, and you'd swear there's only one of them. Absolute quality. Thank you.

Same here. I think I ❤them earlier but couldnt tell .. it was in my crow up in sweden for Girls. Later on in th90th ifound them again and now I can tell I ❤ EM. This song is one of their best.. my option

Never was a big ABBA fan back in the day--But now I realize they were better than any of the so-called "superstar" pop acts today, and they did it all with thier own musical/vocal talent, instead of tons of production, synched tracks, and auto tune.

I have a connection to Sweden, My best friend in HS was an exchange student from Sweden, Hans, and we still stay in touch 40 years later. They really do have a different spirit of facing reality with optimism, something like us here in Maine. Maybe it is the weather?, lol. ABBA had some great songs. I think you would like their song "Fernando".

I first listened to ABBA when I was 11 years old on “American Bandstand” I have loved them for almost 45 years now. I listened to their song in Spanish in Mexico visit at 13 years old and I was so impressed and from then on…I forced family members to listen to ABBA. They had a significant influence on several Pop Artists in the 80’s…they flew to Sweden 🇸🇪 to obtain music produced by their Studio and Production Company. Their vocals are STUNNING. Thank you for reacting to ABBA.

"Chiquitita" (1979) means 'little girl' (with affection) in spanish And the melody have a spanish tune, specialy by the acustic guitar But the center is the wonderful piano, like akmost all ABBA songs "Chiquitita" is a beautiful song, it has hopeful lyrics, a melody that starts very soft with the blonde Agnetha's solo, then grows and explodes in a powerful chorus; Agnetha and Anni Frida's vocal harmonies are of excellence (Agnetha is soprano, Anni Frid is mezzo soprano, and together blending together the 'Third Voice' of ABBA) "Chiquitita" was premiered especially for the Concert by UNICEF, invited (with a lot of artist) by Bee Gees ABBA performed "Chiquitita" that night in January 9 (1979), and its royalties are eternal for UNICEF "Chiquitita" was ABBA's greatest success in Latin America, that prompted ABBA to record it in Spanish, and its success was so extraordinary that in the following years ABBA recorded an album with its best songs entirely in Spanish "Chiquitita" was specialy the greatest hit of ABBA in my country Argentina "Chiquitita" is in the Top 3 of all ABBA worldwide biggest hits, with 'Dancing Queen" and "Fernando", and it's a fantastic Masterpiece This promotional video was in February 1979 in Swizterland, when ABBA go there to a special TV "ABBA in Switzerland", for the 'International year of the Child' (That's why the snowman) It's their only promotional video that ABBA made without Sweden I wish to see you soon in another reactions to ABBA songs GOD bless you and stay safe My best regards from Argentina

Due to the overwhelming success of "Chiquitita", mainly in Argentina and Mexico, ABBA was able to record several of its songs in Spanish (15 in total, being the second language in which it recorded the most, after English). ABBA made an entire album in Spanish in the early 1980s: "Gracias por la musica" with the ladies Agnetha and Frida recording their voices only by phonetics, with the help of a Spanish journalist and on the next two albums they recorded two songs in Spanish for each, including some official videos in Spanish as well.

Good to see a new generation discovering our dear ABBA. I happen to be a Swede... I very much recommend you to react to Dirty Loops as well. Next to you, Thriller / cover /, Work shit out, Follow the light... Many good songs to react to. This one is wonderful too: You have to be there, or - even better - in Swedish, Du måste finnas / the version with English subtitles /. From the musical Kristina by Benny and Björn from ABBA. Seriously one of the best vocal performances you are ever going to see.

Love this reaction and song! Your videos make me smile. Check out the Moody Blues song Knights in White Satin live at the Royal Albert Hall (full orchestra). Al Stewart’s Year of the Cat is a 1976 classic w/strings, etc. Dire Straits Sultans of Swing Alchemy Live is 10+ minutes of greatness. Hope you enjoy! I have a suggestion for a song that I think you would really enjoy hearing. I know you probably get a lot of these, but I just heard it again for the first time in 20 years, and I think it is right up your alley as far as songs go. Billy Paul's 'Me and Mrs. Jones', studio version. There are covers out there, but please, if you decide to listen, make it the original. When I heard it, for some strange reason I immediately thought of your channel, and I never do that, I'm too old for that sh*t. So do yourself a favor, and give it a try. Please 😁🤟
