I will forever love their versatility. They actually trained with darker concepts, then got Crown as a debut and nailed it. Because of their versatility we get to literally see them grow up through their music and go through the different trials of growing up in the mvs and songs. Plus every mv, even if it is not specified as lore related, has lore easter eggs and things related to their storyline. It is just insane how their music and mv world is built, and I love it. I cant wait to see where this next chapter (literally, lol) takes us, man. It is going to be nuts. This song and mv is perfect for after the chaos chapter and does a really great job of continuing the alternate storyline of a breakup after lo$er=lover. Even if it isn't someone's cup of tea, you really have to give it to txt for their continuity in their progression through music and the story of their lives in their mvs.

okay im back i really do agree with you, gbgb definitely gave off cysn vibes with how creepy it was lowkey. this new txt is honestly so crazy! its so addicting in a sense that i feel like if i dont listen to it i might die. rock really really fits their voices in my opinion! specifically taehyun, the growls just sound so so good. i also love that you mentioned that txt fit the “darker” and even “mature” concepts better, cos a lot of ppl used to say they fit bright and cute concepts better. really proves their versatility as artists as well as their willingness to really go beyond everything they’re already familiar with. honestly im convinced we can call them kings of concepts, they’re just so perfect with everything they do. also the scene where soobin punches the mirror oddly reminds me of fight club?? maybe bcos i have the weird urge to rewatch the movie again lolol

I just love Hybe’s world building. Where BTS went through this phase in INU and all of HYYH and LY: Tear, they’re all abt love yourself, accept yourself now, and Le Sserafim debuted on that same line of I’m fearless I accept my scars. TXT however started as cute boys that have slowly gone darker until now they said fuck it, I’ll go full bad. I see why you find similarities with Enha because they debuted in this dark concept and we don’t know where they’re going with it. Darker? Finding the light? Only time will tell. I’m here for this dark TXT, give me more guitars and hardcore sounds, anyone bored of it can go check anyone else.

My initial review: Both Beomgyu and Taehyun have my bias list TWISTED. I'll respect Kai as a baby dancer till he is old enough, then I will talk about him more. Yeonjun is my bias; Soobin is my wrecker. If "the villain's origin story" was a song it would be this one I guess and I'm not mad at the idea at all! This was better than great! And even though I came in expecting to like it, it ended up being even better than I had anticipated. The balance in this song is perfection, the angsty, breathy whispers, the more powerful and pained rock chorus, the pointed, tortured raps and the softer angelic vocals!!! The laughing bit is a bonus! Their acting game is amazing too! They look tortured and hurt for sure but they're this underlying sense of if you're pushing them too much they'll snap and become insane?! I love the evolution of the lyrics! Them feeling hurt and not knowing how to move on, to accepting the pain and then owning it at the end with that lyric "I like being bad". This is so good and genius! This really feels to me like they truly found themselves musically and conceptually and they're owning this entirely! This is IT for me. Theory is below 👇🏾 This song is about break ups, when I say the graveyard is a metaphor for the death of a previous love or burying "the old me" because they've changed from good boys to bad boys. Then, Yeonjun fell from the motorbike, Soobin hit the glass, Taehyung threw things, and Kai called people and that was their confused reaction because they broke up. The first scene of Beomgyu drowning in the trash means that he feels like he's "wasted" like trash because the breakup is getting harder and harder for him to drown in it and there's a scene where he burns his own photo, which means he's ready to change, the title of the song is, good boys gone bad. I'm a reliable author, I understand that I have a habit of overthinking TXT music videos.
