Everyone would love to use more gold. Not a lot of knowledge about working with it and also very expensive. Can't wait for the class.

How do you find a market for these pieces? Are you selling them successfully online? Craft and jewelry shows aren’t an option right now. Won’t designs in gold be more difficult to sell during these tough economic times? Have you been successful selling more work in gold versus silver? Do you believe gold prices will be coming down once the stock market stabilizes? Sorry for all the questions, but it’s really a substantial leap from approximately $16 an ounce to $1,700 an ounce. I would really appreciate your insight and thoughts on this before making the leap to gold.

D. Rennolds hello! gold is wearable wealth and will always be marketable for that reason. Also being able to have the skills to add gold to your work, even adding a gold bezel to a silver shank greatly increases the value.Go through my videos and look for designing band rings class and you’ll see how I added granulation and just a touch of gold to silver ring and it totally increased the design and monetary value. Even if you just purchased a half ounce of gold for this class you could make some beautiful embellishments and bezels to add to other pieces of jewelry

@@LeslieKailVillarreal I agree with you, gold is an elegant addition to silver. I work in Argentium and gold fuses beautifully to that alloy. My question really had to do with the marketability of gold jewelry NOW and the fact that gold is getting close to it’s all time high of $1,900 per ounce. As of today we’re within $160 of that all time high price. Jewelry made using gold purchased at current prices COULD leave the maker selling at a loss if the stock market rebounds and gold ceases to be a safe haven for investors. So I think I’ll wait and see if gold drops to around the average 2019 price and save about $350 an ounce. Just that savings for a Troy ounce would be like getting a $350 discount for the price of your class!

I love all your videos, your style and sense of humour. I am just a very beginner living out in the country way down in New Zealand where getting anything in a hurry is a no go. Can you supply a list of tools we will need before we decide on wether to take the class or not? The same with your silver classes is there a list anywhere? thanks, Mandy.
