I can remember a local R&B DJ in my hometown being fired for playing 'Rock The Bells on air. He knew that song and that artist was on to something and decided to give it some local exposure. When LL blew up, he was re-hired. The dumb radio leadership people realized he was right. 50 years and rap is still here, and LL is an Icon.

Hip Hop is revolutionary! To see artist from the early days still performing and living their life is awesome. Why cant our art form be just as great as the other genres? We need to treat our older artist with the same respect Rock n Roll, Pop, Country, etc does. LL came to my high school graduation at Andrew Jackson (1999). He was very humble, cool, and collected. Nice spirit then and still is now.

My favorite rapper, hands down. I love his music and acting. He's so diverse and humble and live. I can't wait to see him in concert. He's been in the game for so long, he's a true legend and still relevant today.

LL has been my favorite Role Model since I was a Kid and he's still one of the greatest Emcees of all time. "Mama said knock you out" is still my favorite LP and if you haven't seen him live make sure you do he's a true Emcee to the Art form. I met him way back in the day at the Ice cream Summerfest in the T Dot (Toronto, Canada). One of the nicest Guys who is super humble. I saw LL in mount pleasant, michigan at the Soaring Eagle Casino. The Legend had a cold and still performed. Although he couldn't do an entire set, what he did Was iconic
