I have had the Vivo x100 Pro for about 3 months and the camera still blows my mind.. every photo I take I'm as breath taken as the moment I first got it. That 4.3x telephoto is as close to DSLR as it gets currently for phone photography, absolutely stunning.

I was hoping that Xiaomi is going to beat Vivo. I have compared so many top smartphones and nothing can beat this device. Of course Xiaomi has crazy zoom and selfie slightly better but other than that. Vivo is still a camera king ❤😊😊

u can't expect natural color if u use vivid mode that's the problem Many KZfaqrs say it's not close to natural while they using vivid mode

For the sheer amount of control you get with the Xiaomi with 4k120fps from the main and the thoughtfulness of the camera grip, you just can't find anything like the 14 Ultra. But for the price and competiveness, you can't go wrong with the x100 Pro either.

The Xiaomi's main camera lens is so wide! It's so good for vlogging, the Vivo is just wayyy too cropped in.

Hello LL! I received another software update this morning on 30.05.2024 for my CN Vivo X100 Pro - v14.0.22.12.W10 with further camera improvements to photos and zoom performance. It also improves its touchscreen responsiveness and network performance. I'm in EU and can't believe how well Vivo are doing with firmware updates as it only keeps making the best phone so far in my opinion even better - The Vivo X100 Pro is truly incredibly well optimized and fine tuned by now and I cannot be happier with my purchase.

Very cool that you did so many portrait samples! Gives more insight how camera behave with skin tones, in my case this is the most important part of the camera :) I must say that xiaomi looks solid for the first time, previous generations had alyways terrible reds.

I have the chinese version Vivo. Only using it a couple of weeks even though I bought it in January. I love my Mi 11 ultra so had to really try to stop using it! The Vivo is on Origin OS and has already had a few updates, the latest being yesterday. I must say I cant fault it. Its a quality phone amd the build quality and cameras are exceptional. All banking apps work great. My Mi 11 ultra global could never add my cards to wallet on google so its a great addition. I really recommend it

Small correction about the Lytia remark around 39:36; LYT900 is unfortunately not using '2-layer transistor pixel structure'. If you check Sony's post with Lytia sensor model list, only the LYT800 features this, hence the minimal difference in comparison to last gen IMX989. On a side note, I would really appreciate if you would do a small comparison between X100Pro, X14U, Find X7U in RAW photography - IMX989 vs LYT900, and telephoto comparisons, which phone offer the best, hardware wise.

Nice job. They are very close for cameras overall. It seems like the Oppo find x7 Ultra, Xiaomi 14 ultra and Vivo x100 pro have very similar overall quality.

Since 2020 a good HDR is what we want but i still love the approach from xiaomi 14 which retained the professional mirror less looks as we all know professional cameras don't do HDR photos. If you want HDR photos yes Xiaomi will lose but if you're looking for mirror less professional camera look photos xiaomi will do

Very good comparison. They are two monsters in photography, with very close results, I would practically declare a tie between them. Overall, the Vivo seems better optimized, but the Xiaomi has greater potential for evolution, taking into account that it has just been launched and updates tend to fix flaws, as happened with the 13 Ultra, which improved a lot. I just thought that in Zoom it could have been a draw for both, 4.6 for each. The Xiaomi's zoom looks better during the day, and the Vivo's superior at night. Regarding Features, it is also quite relative, as Xiaomi has some exclusive features, such as LOG, 8K recording on all sensors, RAW, 4K 120fps, 1080p at 1960fps (exclusive to Xiaomi), 4K60 with Dolby Video, greater possibility of LUT filters , Pro mode with more features such as EV, cinema mode, Director Mode, variable aperture 1.63-4.0 with many aperture options, Master Portrait, as well as the Photography Kit that allows you to expand the features even further, making it look much closer to a DLSR. I think there would be a technical draw with 4.5 for each as well. This would be a tie for first place between Vivo, Xiaomi and Oppo, which makes a lot of sense to me, taking into account the amount of innovations that Xiaomi brought this year, basically it would be the combination of Oppo's hardware with Vivo's features, well incredible. I can't wait to see what it will look like after 4 or 5 updates. Anyway, I thought the comparison was great, I can't wait to see how it will do against the Oppo and S24 Ultra. There is only one reason for me to pay extra for Xiaomi 14 Ultra: the variable aperture leads to a beautiful sunstars rendering. Things that only Huawei can do previously. Otherwise Vivo X100 Pro all the way.

Moving up from the Xiaomi 12S Ultra, I'm disappointed that although there is an improvement in photos and videos, they still have really bad jitter in low light! And I had a problem with condensation on the lens of the main camera!!! Sending mine back to get replaced because altogether with the free photography kit and tablet and trade in deal its a no brainer but they better fix it!!!

The lyt 900 is not that much of a improvement compared to imx 989 as it only decreases power consumption and information transfer rate other than that actual pixels are almost the same . Also it seems vivo's coating , v3 chip , isp of dimensity 9300 is very well optimised for low light photography . No smartphone even comes close to vivo in low light

Vivo ultra wide narrowness just kills it. If a global X100 ultra with a wider camera comes out it will sure be on my list.

Yes, zoom range with video is better with Xiaomi, ultra wide seems a bit sharper in the edges but everything else vivo holds up or is better than Xiaomi. The Xiaomi is too constrasty, colors are off (the red and yellow in the warning sign are wayyy off for example on Xiaomi). Sometimes the face shots with Xiaomi there is a so yellowish or red glow in your face that you seem beaten up. Overall vivo is much better than the small gap in points suggest.

A little disappointed by the points you have distributed for your ranking, from what I see on my big screen, the 14Ultra supplants the X100 pro in almost all areas except perhaps night photos, but the X100 Pro also had its problems youthful when it was released and has improved over time, the same goes for the 14Ultra which in my opinion should take a much better place if not the best. let's wait to see future updates. Seen some reviews of Xiaomi 14 Ultra. It isn't the realistic that we seen by eyes. Possible reason is that dark contrast, the autovignette style of Leica Vibrant/Authentic. We haven't seen that on Huawei X Leica. I prefer the Huawei x Leica due to fact its shot is real and seen by eye than Xiaomi x Leica.
