This video and your leather prop bag made recall a distant memory. I was born in 1982. The first doctor that my parents had us visit when we were sick was literally an 70 year old house call doctor named Doc Powell. He had a tiny one room clinic in our town but mostly just used it for his paperwork. It was dusty and smelled like cigarettes. He was very kind and funny and he understood the power of laughter for an ailing person. I remember almost all the house calls he made, even for a things like a severe headache (which I had frequently as a kid) he would stop by and spend time checking on us. He would always give his child patients some candy. Simpler times.

I remember when I was young our family doctor was a man who had been born in the late 1880s in Rhode Island. He had learned his trade from a man who was a medic during the civil war, and was wounded at the siege of Vicksburg, having taken quite the chunk of shrapnel to the shoulder. Our doctor was in his late 70s when I was a boy, and he still had much of the old world about him. That America that exists only in black and white photos and in the muffled sounds of spinning wax. The America of Roosevelt and Wilson, and of Jack London. I didn’t see it myself, yet I can picture it so vividly.

Amazing video idea! It’s been brought to my attention that if you add a lot of popular words/phrases at the end of your description it is recommended for more people. So for example at the end of your description you could just say something like “ASMR roleplay 1800s relaxing calm vintage sleep smooth whisper soft etc…”
