The “Star Wars:Holiday Special” is infamous in nerd culture. It was so bad that Lucasfilm tried to erase every copy as if it never existed. This turned any bootleg copy of the special into “The Holy Grail” that fans wanted to get their hands on. Even today many of us have never seen the special as it originally aired on television. Edit- they are even making a documentary about it called “Disturbance in the Force”.

It's insane how many parodies of famous songs Weird Al has done. Since you talked about Star Wars, he does a parody of it called The Saga Begins set to the song American Pie
