I get that you guys need that bread, but I really don’t think the ad break needs to be after the first game of every set. At the very least put it at the end of the video, or the beginning for that matter. It’s extremely jarring to watch a set and then hearing “This video is sponsored by” in the middle of it. Please don’t take this as me insulting you guys, but rather see this as a suggestion for future VODs.

@@IAmAriqueAlt The ad placement is fine, but making it 3 minutes long is an issue. If they can't tell me enough about their product in only 15-30 seconds, then they're doing it wrong. They also increase negative reactions to the ad, like you mentioned.

The difference maker has definitely been other player's edge guarding getting massively better on him. Leo mostly does edge traps, but I think he needs to put himself out there more, if only for the occasional early stock.

Meanwhile Leo been busy with character identity crisis. Feels similar to what happened with Tweek after mid 2019 Looked like he had fun this tourney, hope he’s more confident with continuing the phantom thief rather than spreading across Byleth Marth Joker Aegis Rob etc I don’t care who you are, in this case even the goat. Nothing beats straight up raw practice time and sets with your dedicated main character in terms of improving at the game

Man, a lot of people saying Leo's Joker isnt playing the greatest, like bro. It's playing amazingly well. People can beat Leo and that's fine guys. Props to Leo for going gas gas gas this tourney. 4th is still a very good for a super major. 👌🏻 LMBM easily pumped out sooo many good sets between a ton of rivalries, and most everyone looked like they enjoyed pushing themselves this time around. Cant wait for the next narratives for the next tourney!

@@lifeisoverrated7167As a Joker player myself, Sonic is absolutely Joker’s worst matchup. Sonic’s ridiculous mobility is basically the perfect counter to Joker’s gameplan. It’s not unwinnable - I’ve barely been able to scrape wins against the occasional Sonic - but it’s not great. As a side note, the reason why Joker can handle some other fast characters like Captain Falcon is because Joker has tools to take care of some of them. But getting outpaced is Joker’s worst nightmare, and that’s why Jokers other bad matchups include Sheik and Pikachu

Leo shouldn't hand FD over to Sonix, his game plan was waiting on platform and punished Sonix's side B spam/bait like 25:51 in game 5 at SD, Leo had no platform to deal with sonic's side B so he was forced to do risky approach to chase down Sonix, otherwise the interaction like 31:12 would happen.

Sad to see people just hating on Sonic without appreciating the level of skill and control it takes to play him at a top level like this. Sonix had nerves of steel and beat the #1 player in the world (though now that title is starting to be contested). He honestly played well vs Sparg0 too, just took too long to adapt and barely missed an fsmash which would've taken them to game 5. Still 3rd with wins over Leo, Gluto & Riddles is very impressive.

if i'm 100% honest every single player is getting better, constantly pushing their main to the next level but Leo's joker hasn't had screen time at all, simply put, your character with more hours of experience and matchups is what will get you the best results. The moves that used to work back then for Joker no longer work because the players expect them and Leo's joker hasn't had any chance to adapt to this new level of playstyle.

i think his joker is still amazing but i was seeing a lot of mistakes and missed opportunities as joker. i think he still has just a little bit of rust on him. really hope he keeps playing joker and gets back to his 2019-2020 joker. also sonic is broken never understood why people don't see him as top tier he is easily top 5 imo. if this doesn't prove that idk what will sonic has crazy combos, insane neutral, good edgeguards and edge trapping, broken forward smash, and so much more.

@@SiiNTi I think he was just really tired or distracted. He does appear to have a gf now so that might be part of the reason. Tho I think since he picked up byleth he been struggling in a bit of matchups with him and joker is not just a character you can switch to and play he has high upkeep. I truly believe that if he want to start winning majors again he needs to main joker and keep byleth as his secondary as byleth is easy to play and likely won't be rusty for when he needs to pull him out. He dropped a lot of easy punishes in this match that sadly just added up. And I'm with the commentator on that he should have just stick with joker he prob would have won his pythra kinda got stomped.

Because Sonic is not a top tier that's why. Sonix playstyle with Sonic boosy the character significantly and by thst I mean the "hit and run away" is super rewarding for sonic. It is almost the character was meant to be played like this. Not many characters cna catch sonic and those who do just hit sonic a couple of times and the chasing game resumes. If you have a pressure character tjen you beat sonic. Joker is regularly bad st sonic because he cant catch him and somehow Sonic counters him overall.

Ey man, Leo has won the most tournaments and consistently, and the comebacks he has done are some of the best comebacks anyone has ever done in smash ultimate. So tbh it’s OKAY if He’s not dominating tournaments atm. Let Him have fun and breath with the game bruh he deserves it. Hun making 4th place is still amazing for someone who’s not taking the games as seriously as He used to. It felt like because he got arsene a lot more often due to the slower pace, he was able to keep a LOT more pressure on Sonix, and despite how well Sonix played around that Leo found moments where he almost got a stock from one back air at ledge at 50. Even if it was the only arsene hit he got sometimesLeo was showing throughout the event its all he needs because his play with base joker still keeps solid pressure and can get kills just as fine off of that. For the most part Sonix was just out playing him alot

Sonix is a great player, but Sonic as a character is kinda lame. Blame Nintendo all you want, but don't hate on Sonix when he plays so well with a character that isn't great. Other players tend to focus on characters that are already top tier, but Sonix has to really work to make the best of Sonic.

As a leo fan, it’s sad for me but spargo and tweek seem like they are playing on another level, I think this is the third supermajor in a row where it’s those 2 in grands and they just play so well. The first time I looked at this set, I'm sure people thought that Mkleo dropped the level or something like that... those people saw the first game... or they only saw the last game and assumed that if he changed characters, it was because his "Joker" was humiliated or something like that haha I haven't screamed with emotion for a long time to see a real game I hope with all my being that Mkleo continues with his mains and see him giving sets sooooo intense

Corrin wouldn’t do much better and it was only 1 set with Sonix when he began to rise up in results. Sonix also took out Cosmos Corrin and Aegis so it wouldn’t really work imo

MKLeo's weakness is, surprise surprise, playing against characters not often used; niche characters. The only person he has consistently lost to was a Japanese player (I believe Kameme?) and everybody he's lost to, all use characters he doesn't often have to face. Maybe he lost to Tweek's Diddy, but even Diddy isn't used much in Ultimate. No disrespect to the players that use them either. You have to be THAT good to beat Leo. Now Sonix is one of those people. Leo will have to study Sonic more now. The next time he faces him, the results will likely be different.

I think people tend to have negative bias when it comes to Sonic. Sure, he camps....a lot. I don't think all the character does is camp nor do I think it warrants all the hate towards the character when there are others that solely exist to run away. Sonic has to be within striking distance to do damage at the very least. Sonix displayed awareness throughout the whole set and capitalized on his advantage.
