this lap already was made in c4 which is pretty much same compound with supersoft tyres. Those michelin radials for 919 evo tho. Not the best tyre for hotlap especially compared to pirelli slicks

@@JotaV2502 no we wont lmao. f1 cars are just getting slower and slower. the gap from 2021 to 2022 over 1 lap was about 2 to 2.5 seconds and in 2026 with the new engine regs along with keeping mostly the same concept of the current aero regs they will be at least like 5 to 6 seconds slower than 2021 cars, and at least 7 seconds slower tha the w11 in 2020.

@@godzvnm7315 Few things are definitive and set in stone, and the fact that we will never again see a F1 as fast as the W11 is not one of them. Records are made to be broken, history has always proven it to us. There's no doubt that we will one day see a car that is even faster and more efficient than the W11. It is not known when or how or even if these future cars will be allowed in F1 or other competitions, but what is certain is that technological innovation and the search for ever higher performance will never stop. I won't be surprised if Mercedes one day wants to try the experiment of creating a descendant of the W11, even if it's only to set new records, at least we'll have the chance to see a new monster that's even faster and breathtaking . A kind of new myth of the ultra-modern era.

New cars, new regs, ground effect reintroduction, etc The 2023 cars are nerfed with increased ride height compared to 2022 and anyway just beat track record at Baku by some tenths, also simply 2 seconds faster a lap at Miami, should be more if Max completed his lap. In 2024 you will see cars going maybe faster than 2021 and 2025 as fast as 2020. New engine regs in 2026 will not affect that much, 2026 PU means that the ICE power will be reduced and electric power increased with some minor differences in added power, as technology advances the weight won't be any higher even tho electric part will be bigger, that's for sure. My bets are that in 2030 cars will somehow be faster than 2020

@@ferry962 Doesn't matter. The 919 EVO was built outside of all regulations. The F1 car it lost to conforms to F1 rules and regulations. The W11 basically has its hands tied and still beat the Porsche.

Based on the fact alone that LMP1 cars were made to last long stints, whereas F1 cars go 2 hours max. So the difference between an F1 W11 and W11 Evo would not nearly be as drastic as the 919 and the 919 Evo. Not to mention, the 919 Evo was not the end of what was possible.

2018 Ferrari had more downforce aswell,it wouldn't be faster than sf90 on straights and 919 Evo's lap wasn't made in good conditions

@@recca7 Not really, since the base is still an older LMP1 car that is made for endurance racing. If you could build it from the ground up for speed like the W11 it would be just as fast if not faster because of the closed wheel base. Underneath the exterior they would be very similar.

Not to mention Evo was using setup made for nürburgring not spa. On same conditions and tyres we can likely say that W11 would probably loose against 919 Evo. Not to mention Evo is able to lap around nürburgring which pretty much slows the car down because of suspension and body.

In terms of racing I do agree F1 nowadays is kinda boring especially at some tracks like monaco. But in terms of the engineering and performance, then based on your words for Motorsport, F1 car is indeed the most incredible thing on earth when it comes to motorsport. This video for example, that F1 car is still within regulations yet it still beat the 919 Evo, that alone shows how impressive F1 cars are. But in terms of racing, yea sometimes it is boring

@@haluyolo7568 I see your point, fact that specially when it comes to aerodynamics - downforce and braking a F1 car is indeed impressive but you have to consider that the 919 evo is almost 100kg heavier also has smaller tyres (360mm against 405mm of F1 on the rear) and also it depends of the course, on a track with more straights probably a 919evo with less drag on the wing could easily beat an actual F1 spec car.
