LMS Ivatt 2MT steam locomotive in BR Lined Maroon livery with a dramatic departure out of Haverthwaite station, but then putting in a solid performance hauling the train along the scenic Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway which runs alongside the River Leven and Lake Windermere and is a former Furness Railway branch line. Later, the same engine is seen struggling out of Haverthwaite station with some wheelslip from a spectators viewpoint.
On my visit two locomotives were in steam, the other being an LMS Jubilee Class as a special visitor, which you can see more of here:
