I love how Paul goes right into Wipe Out based on the beat that the guest drummer was doing. That could have been pre-determined but it seemed spontaneous.

Little known fact, Steve, their drummer, did Rupert Holmes' song "Escape" along with his regular, Leo Adamian.

Was Hiram Bullock subbing for Sid McGinnis at this time?

Hiram was the band's original guitarist. He left in the Spring of 1984. During that summer Paul held on-air auditions for Hiram's replacement. Sid was eventually chosen and became the band's official guitarist that October.

I didn't know that, thank you for the history. Always liked Hiram's playing, especially the work he did with David Sanborn. I believe I still have his two solo CDs, great stuff. RIP Hiram.
