Hello you decided to come back and haul cattle again. Welcome back miss your videos it’s good to see your videos. How is your wife doing with the therapy with children seen most of them she is really good at it. You can tell what state your in but not locations where you pickup? Remember to keep gate in front of you at all times never know about them.Climb the rails to keep from getting stump on or going to gate.

Enjoyed the video. How does someone get into hauling? Ive been driving for almost 3 years. Reefer and dryvan. Always wanted to try it out. Any advice?

Thank you. Just keep in mind livestock hauling isn't for everybody and can get very dangerous especially loading by yourself like I used to. That being said I would suggest finding livestock haulers, packing plants and/or sale barns near you about openings to haul for them. The area you live may affect this but hope you can find a lead. Be safe

I wasn’t raised on a farm at all but my parents were, down in Mexico and I’ve always had interests on living or working in a farm but I live near the city of Chicago so that’s nearly impossible and cattle haulers interest me a lot and I just got my class A and I’m 19 trying to get into this type of work
@CattleHauling5011 ай бұрын
Check in with livestock auctions and livestock hauling companies about possible opportunities in your area. It may be tough only being 19 to drive for one of these places. If you're only 19 I'm assuming you have a Intrastate license only

Is that an old sales barn? I used to go to one in Gallpolis, Ohio, it was very old and has been torn down, I think.

I noticed that you had applied something black and shiny to your trailer floor, is that some kind of an anti-slip coating for the cows? 🤠

What happened to strawing or sawdusting the deck before loading? Cause when they piss and shit on the floor, the deck gets slick and one slips and gets down, they'll be trampled to death. Do drivers not cover the deck now? I grew up in the 50s and 60s and that's how it was done. Stockyards kept sawdust piles for this reason. What's different these days?
@CattleHauling50 Жыл бұрын
They usually put down saw dust or a bedding for pigs, sheep, smaller livestock, etc. I only hauled kill cows so no need for that. I drained trailer out daily after each unload and washed it out clean every Friday

You caught my mistake. Good catch. I unpinned the top center gate to cut the 17 but later decided to just run the 17 straight up but I didn't repin the gate. On the way to the plant the gate closed in transit
