85 tonne Liebherr R976 excavator that had been on display at Liebherr's booth with shears attached being partially dismantled and then loaded on to Paul Delong Heavy haul's Lowbed for transportation from Conexpo 2020

An excellent loading of heavy belt machine, straight from the book. But the wrong trailer, and only Liebherr R976 gets points.

These are always first rate videos of moving heavy equipment in a urban environment. Not an easy job. These guys always make it look easy.

For a machine with such a wide track width I have seen and used low loader plant trailers with side extensions that fold out from the main trailer. It makes the trailer about 2ft wider (approx, it depends on the trailer and it s been a long time since I used one.) and a lot safer when transporting a load that wide. Great video and very interesting.

Paul YA ,you have to love the Monday morning quarter backs, been around those type my entire heavy Equipment life. I got my own used backhoe and guess what thay all called it, coming from people who never owned anything more than there truck. " O " so why did you buy that piece old S _ _ t, WHY becouse I could, and I LOVE Backhoes, to me it's my 1970s classic muscle car.

Can't believe you did not put blocks under those track frames to the bed of the trailer, especially when the tracks are hanging off the sides... that thing moves 3 inches and it will be off the trailer... ya use the boom to pick up one side and place blocks same on other side.... I would't drive that load... an old truck driver....

Nice video. Cannot understand how anyone can work around heavy equipment wearing gym shoes. He is just asking for a crushed foot. Just moving the sheets to protect the road from the tracks will do it.

Patrick Rosencrants Most of the machines go back to local dealerships or staging areas and then go further afield if need be. The truck that hauled the stuff in this video was never away longer than 2 or 3 hours before coming back for another piece of equipment.

Not many chains for that weight and only fitted to tracks not machine frame. That would slide to the side I think easily.

Greg J what about the tracks? The trailer is already 10 ft wide they cant goto 11 or 12, when going down the road u have to go on the side as is

I am amazed that the power sprockets, idler and rollers are not supported by the trailer deck; hanging off the side. That is CRAZY....ONLY 10 - 12 INCHES OF TRACK ARE ON THE DECK. HOPE YOU CHAIN THE SHIT OUT OF IT!!!!

How many guys does it take to get 1 piece of equipment on the trailer ???. In this video how many do you see???. I know I could get it on the trailer much faster. But these guys have been doing it this way for way to long. In my opinion 1 forklift operator 1 driver of equipment and 1 spotter that's all you need. Most likely these guys are part of the TEAMSTERS and they work at their own pace???. Enough said

One thing I can't work out yes the rig is a fine unt and the Liebherr has the jib at half for height on the road but the rig is so so close to ground level yes to keep it stable but you would not want to hit a bump on the road 😱😱🥴🥴

Transported many excavators and dozers like this and seen heavy equipment companies do the same DOT considers it legal and safe.

@@Sdukes001 I agree with you, in America maybe it is. In Europe, whole diffrent story. Frist of all in Europe that kind of transpot does not get a permit for day time transport, that is a night time transport. Second, rules on lashing "Only marked places with stiker for lashing point". And another thing, if half of the track is not on the bed you must use wideners.

Why don't they transport these with trailers with a wider foot print. Half the track is on the trailer. Loading is dangerous. In the Army I've saw all kinds of equipment damaged because of this. Wide load means trailer too!

Europe has a whole load of different laws on a lot of things, "Heavy Haulage" movement is just one, a lot has to park up during the day and can only move at night. For a start, most of our Motorways/Freeways don't have as many lanes to them as yours, and a lot, once you come off them usually are single lane each way. We oddly enough don't have as many gun shops as you do which tends to lead to a safer environment.

Modern Excavator on a prehistoric trailer with awful load securing. Whats wrong with you across the ocean? Why do you like old shitty trucks and trailers? And even if they are new they look old.
