It's good to see kids learning about farming and really taking an interest in farming I know you're a farm girl you born and raised in farming but u are learning all the different types of farming and farming just like ranching isn't a job its a life style and ur family farm will be in good hand for many more years with u learning the things ur dad and other family members are teaching u about farming and how to be profitable in farming

We are bursting with pride. Our daughter just texted us that Catherine did so well that her teachers made her a para to help kindergarten kids twice a day. She has a badge and announcement. Your good words make her feel good. She must have knocked their socks off.

Great Job Kate... I love it when you have to step on the clutch, because you literally stand up in the seat of the truck. Yes, the blower fan is in the middle of the dome other wise mold will creep in the product. Poor Darcy only had a brush with fame on this episode. Keep up the Great Work Kate and be safe farming.

@@KatesAg From this point forward, people are going to try to undo all the values you’ve received from your parents. LOVE, be kind, but don’t be swayed. Your not where your at right now because your folks are stupid. You also don’t have to change anyone else, just be you. The example you represent is enough. Sorry if I’m speaking out of turn, but I put myself through college as an enlisted Marine Reservist, with a little detour through Desert Shield /Storm. It was a heroes welcome home until I went back to Campus. Students threw garbage at me. Thankfully, I didn’t actually go to many classes, but that’s a whole different story. Don’t do that either. In my defense, I was flight instructing.

Hi Miss Kate ! Good to have you home, I enjoy seeing you in your own environment and watching you grow more and more confident in your ability to know what needs to be done and how to do it. you can see it! You're getting better and better with the truck. A tractor-trailer has its difficulties when driving, but it is easier to maneuver backwards. An articulated train is harder to drive backwards, but it also has advantages when driving. In any case, you're going to teach the world of men that women are good drivers, too. I once had a young woman with me as an apprentice, who certainly didn't shy away from difficult driving manoeuvres. She tried and never gave up! Today she drives better than me! With her I even sleep while driving! I think your father will soon be able to do that too. I wish you a safe journey! Stefan

Hello Kate from a chilly county of Kent in the UK. We had one of those grain vacuums on an AEC lorry which we used to suck up the wheat off the floor in our grain shed. I am surprised that you don't have augers in your silos to empty them as we did. We also moved the grain around the building with a chain and flight elevator system. Keep up the good work...👍

Kate ag , thanks for another awesome video on the continue journey of harvesting wheat in the process of getting it to our table. The internal function of the bans on extracting all the wheat out ,needs to be updated so that it's not manually done by humans like your dad and you kate were doing ,but automated. I realize your bin is almost empty. But i always worry when entering a confined space that there is oxygen in there and not the presents of other gases. There are meters you can buy that test for oxygen and other gases .Stay safe and keep on trucking.

I watched this video and I swear in my heart I was supposed to be on the farm, I was adopted and I live in the city and I was raised in the city that inside my heart I appreciate the country farm life from animals growing things and every chance I get I always escape to the mountains in the hills near my house where all the farmland is.

As always I enjoy watching especially seeing you drive. As you know I've been driving 34 years with 42 years in the trucking industry. You dad is doing a great job teaching you. Confidence in your abilities never Never be scared. Keep that head on a swivel an always keep 10 an 3 o'clock on the wheel. Its the what if you blow a steer tire .

Always remember you have 80,000 pounds Behind you when Hauling. Your a very lucky young woman with parent that love you. I started on the farm when i was 9 or 10 dad took taxes out of my paycheck when i was 12 in 1974

Love to see you getting more confident! Question for you, being Montana in your area, are you mostly grain, do you have beef or dairy cattle anywhere? My first job many years ago was picking up milk off the dairy farms in northern Minnesota so Im curious.

I can partly answer this. My wife's family raised beef cattle in Eastern Montana

Thank you for your wonderful kindness, story and great question. We only raise grain and pulse crops. We don't have any fencing so we don't have any cattle and we honestly have so much acreage that we have no time for anything else. There are a lot of ranches in Montana too just like Mr. Torgerson below shared!!!

Dad wants you to do it all perfect before he turns you loose! I farm and know what he is going through teaching you! My advice to him is- make sure you are covered by the insurance and turn you loose! You are about ready! Then after you get some experience all the neighbors will try to hire you away. That’s what always happened with my kids!

hello Kate super movie you are a very hardworking girl and this way of loading grain is very interesting for me the grain from the silo is pulled out with a snake and there is always grain left at the bottom and you have to push.

Yeah we farm about 4.000 Acres. In southern California. And we have around 300 acres of alfalfa we green chop for dairy cows half the year then bail half the year we also do oat hay three way hay ( oat wheat and barley ) and Sudan .. We also run beef farming never stops as you know.... Have a good night we'll talk again I'm sure..

I used to drive a truck w/ a clutch. The other farmers who I’m learning from, have told me to buy a 2009 Freightliner that has an Allison Automatic. It’s a lot easier to drive and less strain on the legs. Only a few of my friends who help me like driving it. Once, I continue to watch your videos and hopefully learn everything from your videos, I will be good at this. I will never call myself a professional, but I’m always learning new things. Please continue w/ your videos and hope to see you in the future, Ms. Kate.

I'm otr truck driver I started with standard transmissions and wen I first drove an automatic I didn't really like it but now I like it much better no stress on my knee and better going down steep grades
