Getting my G4M 638 Baritone Electric Guitar, White set-up in the Loathe tuning - E1 A1 E2 A2 D3 F#3. This is to make it ready to do a series of blogs on my website. p.s. it took me a couple of months to work out where they got this tuning from, but I got there in the end. Spasibo i do svidaniya (Спасибо и до свидания)

Loathe tuning is so weird, it's difficult to choose strings gauge with good tension

@@vadimclarity I'm getting these put on today - Fender Super 250's Bass VI Nickel 24-100 Bass Guitar Strings. The tuning is 6/7ths of a 7-string guitar (the lower 6-strings) tuned to an F# baritone tuning with the F# and B strings dropped by a tone (2 frets) to E1 and A1. The high F# sharp is what threw me for weeks - I thought they were using the lower 6-strings of the Mattias IA Eklundh's Signature Caparison Guitars Apple Horn 8 EF (it's tuned E1 A1 E2 A2 D3 G3 B3 E4) hence the G3 rather than the F#3 - this really threw me out. I blogged about the Mattias IA Eklundh 8-string tuning in BLOGoZON No.451 (I'd post a link but they're not allowed on this platform).
