Lobo Tiggre of ‪@TheIndependentSpeculator‬ shares his updated outlook for uranium, commenting on recent headlines surrounding Kazatomprom, as well as the potential for a US ban on Russian uranium imports.
"I see a lot of downside protection, I see a floor under this market," he said. "The worst likely case scenario is some modest correction and then ramping up again. And (there is) the potential for a hockey stick in the underlying commodity, which should do great for the stocks. So I wouldn't want to be short - I'm happy to be very long in the space already, but I wouldn't chase the stocks."

They were planning on producing 60 million pounds in 2024. If they miss by 30 % that's 18 million pounds. That's same size as cigar lake mine in 2006 in production capacity. Remember what happened after cigar lake in 2006 flooded things went absolutely bonkers.

Unbelievable Charlotte and LT. That was a great interview. I was at VRIC 2024 also. I saw two of LT's talks while there. I felt the sentiment uptick as well, this years' VRIC as compared to last year. At VRIC, Lobo also stated to hold off on UR stock purchases as we are now at the high end of the hockey stick, on top of the froth. Right again as the UR stock correction started today. Charlotte is prettier in person than on You Tube, if that is possible! RJW

Wow Lobo is so off the mark on ISR mining. Every producing mine in the world today (KAZ, Australia, and Uzbek) are using Sulfuric Acid. The exception is the US (ex PEN) which are quite small and only now ramping (Encore, UEC). That being said Sulfuric Acid production is localized so it really does not matter to compare to other miners in other regions.
