Drawing attention to the wealth of natural resources located in the Tibetan plateau, he explains why the Chinese government is determined to colonize this region. Finally, Sangay explains what it is like to run the Central Tibetan Administration, and why Tibet offers a useful model for setting up democratic governments in exile.

just wanted to clarify that Mr. Lobsang sangay served as the Sikyong(president) of the Tibetan administration-in-Exile from 2011 until May 2021. Additionally, if elected, the Sikyong can serve two consecutive terms of five years each.
