LOC...it doesn't make sense to me, but my hair loves it 🤷🏾‍♀️. I also tried LCO (this is what I was introduced to in the beginningof my journey), and it just didn't work for me. I'm Low porosity with medium density/strand thickness.

This is really good information! My hair does not accept moisture well.I was doing LCO for years and could not figure out why my hair was still dry. Went to a stylist and she said to start doing LOC method as well as change to avocado products and protein mask,and that was my solution! I’m so happy I have this knowledge. Learning about our hair is so empowering. Thanks for sharing!! 🥰💆🏽‍♀️

I use the LCOG method, always have. I like the oil after the cream, because it keeps away the flakes. Love your hair😉

@@andreataylor4503 I haven't had an issue with frizz. You can also use a small amount of hair grease in place of the oil.

I did my wash and go the way you sad, with just a little variation. I did mine with my hair being damp. It turned out beautifully! Honey that gel over the leave in and the oil. To me makes a Big Difference. You continue to teach and inspire us with natural hair. Thank you CurlyCrys.

We need the compression! I'd like to see how your hair reacts to both. Your hair is beautiful so I probably couldn't tell the difference. I have high porosity hair and use the LOC method but I plan to try the LCO method this weekend to try it out.

L is for liquid, not leave in. LCO: Liquid (water), conditioner (creme or leave in), oil

I use the LCO method. I just watched another video that was saying that to moisture your hair and lock it in thoroughly the LOC method is the way to go. Then, I come across this video and I'm going to find out more of what i can do or if I've using the right method all along.

I use the LCO method because I have low porosity fine hair!!! This method just works better for my hair and I have tried both. My hair stays moisturized longer with this method in my opinion.👍🏽👋🏽🤪❤️🙏🏽

I do LOC. For high porosity I really feel like that works but I’m not knocking the LCO! I just need to get my hair set a bit if I add the oil last.

I have medium to high porosity and I have always believed in puting the oil last. I never understood why you would put the oil before your moisturizer since what we're trying to do is lock everything in. But everyone's hair is different.

different types oil are also more penetrating than coating as well ... So this may work for LOC, if your using more penetrating oils than a coating oil ...

Not all oils are created equal. I started reading the ingredients on the package and I think some have silicones? A lot of them, which made me wonder: What is an OIL? And what words should we look for to avoid silicones? The pkg will say "no silicones" if it doesn't have them. But when they do, the packages is quiet! Lol! So you have to know what to look for.

Try it LCO on one side of your hair and LOC on the other. She’s amazing but your hair may respond differently. You never know until you try.

That’s what happened to my hair using the LCO method my hair was just oily not moisturized then I switched to the LOC method and it’s a game changer. The oil is still locking in moisture the cream just gives it that boost. I have a moisture cycle of every 4 days so I moisturize it every 3

For some reason when I was using oils in my hair the LOC method worked better for me. I stopped using oils about a year and a half ago and my hair stays moisturized for longer now. Idk why. I guess it’s all about finding what works better for you

I have 3c plus some 4a...this routine works for me. Wet my hair with water or rose water, leave in conditioner or cream, oil like caster (oil sometimes not all the time), then gel. This is for a wash and go.

I use a leave in with oils on wet hair. then creame to seal.then gel for hold. Then crunch out the cast with oil. LOCGO.

When I first went natural I started with the LCO method but my hair would be dry. I stopped using oils and creams and now I retain moistur. I use a leave in and a gel and I get a whole week without the need to re-moisturize. (I did this prior to the no oils and butter trend)

My experience is the same as yours when I first went natural and I couldn't understand why no matter how much product is use my hair was dry but since I've switched the stays for a week and can go longer
