Whether local or poltri price depends on variety and time consumed in raising and taste are different. So price is variable. So all poltri products cannot be tagged in one price.

Hornbill Tv, I think a thorough media coverage on vegetable vendors must be considered particularly on our local vendors. They think they are selling precious stones. Some of the vegetable prices are crazy. If this trend continues then the prices of vegetables may surpass meat very soon.

Some may cost extreme. But, vegetable price must also increase when prices of other goods increase at shops and salaries of government servants. Increasing only salaries but stagnant of vegetables prices is creating big economic gap in our society.

@@thangkhiam846 While price rise is a continuous process in an economy, it is also very important that prices of commodities are being checked by the regulatory bodies. I have specifically referred to 'local' vendors in my previous comment about them asking 'unreasonable' prices to their customers. Maybe not all of them but majority of the vendors. If they do their business in a fair manner then who am I to complain.

People laugh. But out of their good hearts and pity. They adopt them. But i dont think their parents tell them to boast! I think it's the soft and kind treatment and their environment they grow up in. I see many people like this everywhere even at kohima, dimapur, phek and other districts. Not all are same. Thanks Hornbill TV.. we have to check it.. this chicken price 1kg local around Rs 700..i m shocked.. last week i buy 1kg by 700.. always business done by meya people..we are cheated...but we Naga r very rich people,..5000 also we purchased n eat. 😂😅😅

Very true....and ultimately the beneficial result we get is cancer and what not ailments due to excessive content of steroids and harmful pesticides even in vegetables.... If we ask the vendors "kote laga ase?, Their response is wokha, pfutsero and you name it.😁😁😁

These IBIs/ Karbis are spoiling the market....They seem innocuous but they are controlling the availability and prices of poultry and vegetables. DMC should strictly fix uniform pricing depending on the varieties for the benefit of the public. This is Urgent!!!

I think (after buying from the market) chicken "even if it is LOCAL" but reared in the farm manner with feeds will not survive if we rear them in our traditional way. So, their quality will never be like local that we rear in open fields without medicinal feeds. Locals are hard to grow in short time.

In my hometown only the pure native breed that have been raised since time immemorial is termed as local chicken,all other chicken like broiler,kroiler,and other hybrid chicken are termed as imported chicken as they are bred for quantity not for quality and taste,you can tell the difference just by the smell and taste when you cook and eat a local and a non-local chicken at the same time😁
