Two hikers from Rhode Island were hiking in the area of Huntington Ravine on Mount Washington Sunday when they became lost and were unable to return to the trail.

I was in New Hampshire this past week. I went up on the summit via the Cog Railway and even though it was June, the temperature was 27 degrees Fahrenheit and a layer of ice covered everything. I’m glad these young men were found. Mount Washington is nothing to fool with..over 150 people have died on that mountain.

Glad you're OK, Chris. I actually hiked it from the Ammonoosuc Ravine on the 3rd. Got to the summit at 2:00, and had no idea you guys were stuck there. I was probably standing just above you at the time! Sounds like you had the gear; just got stuck. Is the state still looking at the case, or are you in the clear as far as the rescue charges? You knew about that, right? This can happen to anyone, so don't get discouraged, and keep hiking!

I don’t get what’s wrong .. how are they stuck ? How are they getting hypothermia at 30°F ? Clear visibility .. I was just there the other day it was -20 100 an hour plus winds and climbed it with no rope and I was fine no issues.. I don’t mean to sound like an asshole because I’m sure I do I’m just saying I don’t understand
