An offering of tobacco to the spirit helpers asks for the right to use the land and provide the opportunity, environment and skills to erect a strong Tipi. All humans endeavor to live life in a good way. The Tipi represents the strength and resilience to face the challenges of life, to stand strong in the winds of change.

This was great to watch. Thank you. I just finished sewing a 21ft cover and 9ft liners for a crow-style tipi and need to learn more on 4pole set up. I never saw where the cover was folded in half to place poles. Oh boya, I gotta lot to learn. Lol

@@jonassmiley1380 1955 Singer sewing machine that was my mother's. Purchased the same year I was born. Sewed like a dream. It us considered the best machine ever made by Singer. I keep it oiled and greased. It was a challenge, but I did it!

What is the weight of the entire tepee including poles, canvas, and liner? What is the height of the lodge poles used? You are an amazing Indian with a rich heritage. Thank you for sharing your knowledge!
