Solo leveling might be my favorite novel/manga that I've read. When I first found the manga I thought, "man this quality is epic", and continued until almost halfway through the story (because the rest of the manga wasn't out yet) and decided to read the novel, which just made me even more excited to see it adapted through the manga. I think I love Solo leveling because not only is the first half of the story really awesome, but the second half is also where you start to learn that there is more than meets the eye, aka the reason why he can level up and its purpose (slight spoiler), and then the ending, although sad that it ended, is one of the most satisfying endings I can think of which just leaves you wanting more but at the same time don't want to change the ending (at least for me). My only nit-pick is that it, unfortunately, ended too early for me, so yeah it's a great read!

I’m not sure about an anime yet because in the manhwa , they portrayed Japan in a bad way so most anime studios may not pick it up as an adaptation. Maybe later Edit: Ayyyy we got the anime let’s goooooooo Further edit: the first episode went crazy with the animation

I don't give a single solitary shit if it's just the rule of cool so long as it's done fucking well. Not everything has to be an amazing, unique, ground-breaking piece of never before seen genius the likes of which you will regale your grandchildren with. All I want is some really cool stuff. Give me One Punch Man energy and I'm there, every single time. Solo Leveling got that in spades so I'm supporting it. Screw Kirito, Weakest Hunter is my new best friend.

For BETTER story try The Breaker ( Considered one of the GOATs in Manhwas) The Beginning after the end ( Inspired from Mushoku Tensei but better) The Legend of the Northern Blade Nano Machine Eleceed ( This got to be the Hypest Manhwa to ever exist with amazing Art )

@@eren9982 The Beginning after the end is more like mushoku tensei's edgy cousin. Mushoku is a slow burn with amazing character growth and pay off, while TBATE is more of a power fantasy with a cookie cutter mc with no flaws or struggles. Btw I'm not bashing TBATE I enjoyed it for what it was.

I initially read the web novel of Solo Levelling, and i got hooked to the story, world building, characters as well as the action set pieces. You could almost imagine the entire fight sequence with the description. So I found out if there was any more of it and found out about the web comic. It really did blow my mind. Clean animation turned up to 11. Great Manhwa. I am quite surprised it hasn't been adapted to Anime yet, however, I guess it could possibly be on hold due to its depiction of Japanese characters on the manhwa, which was very negative. That being said I would definitely want to have this manhwa as a show soon. Also note, some of the things that happen in the original webnovel are omitted in the manhwa, so i hope we get to see that in the anime.

Reason why ppl love Solo is it's relatable. Like how John Wick beat up & dog got killed and everyone wanted Wick to kill everyone of them. With Solo, anyone that's played a game and learned you can level up in real life would do the same as him. Unlike other animes where the MC learns about it and sits around with their harem, this dude is power grinding to become top tier and it shows. With SAO, it starts off good but ditches everything to the point you forget your in a life/death game and I guess he grinds offscreen or something. Never seen Kiroto level after the first boss, plus the weapons and armor or anything changes. A.k.a. Plot armor...

Solo Leveling is effin Goated and I don't think it will get an anime any soon cause 1, it's artsyle is so S tier that you need heavy amount of budget to animate it like demon slayer level artsyle and 2, Japan is shown in a very bad light on so I doubt any Japanese studio will pick it up which is a shame. Check it out man. If you crave for some action, eye candy and adrenaline then this series will get your blood pumping

When you first read Solo Leveling and it's one of your first action manwhas it's great, then you read more and realize "80% of action manwhas be reverse isekai with the same concept" And it stops being as unique, but still one of the best out of all of them, I just wish they calm down, so it wouldn't be always the same now...

it might not have the story depth like aot, but the story where it led, how they execute the plot is very on point and satisfying on its own way, like lets be honest if its carried by the art alone, there's like literally 20 manhua/manhwa that has the same or even better art than solo leveling, but they are not even touch the slight a bit of solo leveling's popularity is proving why this manhwa is the best manhwa ive ever read and no one cant ever change that.

Bad news about Solo Leveling (and i am mad about this being actually true): no Japanese anime studio will animate this Manwa cause in the story (spoilers btw so please read at your own risk) the Japanese are described as dushes so........ that's the only reason why it wont be a thing. In Japan Solo Leveling had a change of country's name for the Japanese country for their characters

BTW no Sung is legitimatly weak for the very first part of the Manwah the one thing people like about him is that the association (overarching governing body of hunters) wont send him anywhere if they are not sure it is safe due to how weak he is and this is a common style of troupe in Gate stories in Korean manwah as someone who has read like 200 at this point with gate styles being a favorite Also in this world normal hunters cant level up they are stuck with what they have when they awaken and have to augment themselves through items this however is not the case for a majority of these stories but is for Solo Leveling

It's the goat of manhwa but not S tier for sure, the artwork and the drip carry the series, the plot is not really that unique or intriguing. I would say something like Legend of the Northern Blade is S-tier

I think you should read the manwha first because a certain part of the storyline might get changed do to some backlash that they got for it. You're going to have more than enough time to finish it before the anime release. Since it wont be until winter of 2024. But that is up to you. From what I've seen from the trailer it looks watered down in the detail and effects. But I hope I am wrong.
