@@pr1tch1 Hi Stephen - I keep it at home nowadays, although I had my Warrior stored at a caravan park in East Lothian. The Orkney is just that little bit smaller and it can sneak into the garage. If you can manage it then I'd definitely recommend keeping a boat at home as it's a lot easier to look after it or get it set up for a trip at short notice.

I've the excel volaire 390, loads of places to explore in the Clyde estuary with a few public slipways along the coast... Hopefully gonna do a trip round Arran this summer.. I have visited Loch Lomond quite a few times with my inflatable when on holiday at Luss. Would love a trailer but no were to store it due to my caravan on the drive lol.

Hi Ray Anything over around 10mph and the depth finder stops working. My older , cheaper depth finder keeps working even at high speed which is a bit strange. To be honest, I would be totally lost without it. It a brilliant safety feature and has saved me from hitting bottom many times. On the Lochs, you can go from 200ft to 2ft in seconds. Plus its caught me a few fish . The popup tent is fantastic. It was brought for fishing trips , but it's so good I now take it camping. You can literally put it up in seconds .
