One of the greatest villains to grace the screen in the live-action Transformers films, Lockdown is my personal favorite. He explores the vast universe, absolutely determined to fulfill his contracts given to him. Viewing the Autobot/Decepticon war as a universal mess, Lockdown is not a part of any faction and is sent by the Creators to clean it up. He's willing to work with humans, but will kill any if nesessary. But like all Transformer villains, Lockdown had to meet his demise. Lockdown could've stayed alive and take Optimus to his Creators himself. Either way, Optimus is coming for them and hopefully Galvatron can beat Lockdown as best villain in Transformers 5 and maybe 6... If HE doesn't die before 6...

I agree. He operated in a business-like fashion, doing a job he was hired to do. Unlike Megatron, he had no interest of taking over any world. I'm curious to know if where he was looking for O.Prime, if he also had a contract for Megatron?

Lockdown held back when fighting Optimus, the task assigned to him was to bring Prime alive. That explains why Optimus didn't die when Lockdown shot him using his face-cannon and stabbed prime using he's sword, maybe Lockdown knows where to hit Optimus without killing him. Just a thought.

And when he was down it was an unfair fight 3 vs 1 op, cool bumble bee and bad ass mark wahlberg ... And I don't think lock actually died he was just split ..

Nicholas Henry he was a villain, villains work for the opposing side. You’re getting the word decepticon and villains mixed up. Lockdown isn’t a decepticon but he was the villain in AoE. If he was a ‘good guy’ he wouldn’t be going after prime. And yes a movie of lockdown would be spectacular

Im not gonna deny it: *Lockdown is the most hardcore (and competent) Transformers film villain.* But watching him rip out Ratchet's spark, and helping the humans slaughter possibly untold number of Autobots, Lockdown, all I can only say to you is: *"Go frag yourself, you Unicron spawn."*

Lockdown is probably one of the most underrated villains in the franchise, I feel like he had so much story to tell and it makes me even more upset that they killed him off. But, I have a theory; The creators could technically still revive him if they could find his all-spark, I know that the grenade turns things to solid metal but if the all-spark did survive then they might be able to create a new Lockdown, just a theory. :)

Lockdown is like this badass bounty hunter / Space Pirate willing to work and make his way into the universe. He has the hook, the sword a ship and a crew turned it into a prison for his own personal uses and all he needs is a badass hat, plus his theme is extraordinary epic. He is one of the best villains hands down in the Transformers film series. Although he doesn't care about the war between the Autobots vs Decepticons, he's still a Decepticon because of their badass arsenal ships, and they "pay better". He's willing to work with humans if it means taking out his own kind spoils of war.

I do not perceive him as a villain. He is rather a very advanced, developed hunter, which passionately performs his duties, staying at the same time calm and cold. But, of course, Lockdown is the most elaborated and wonderfully staged personality from the entire franchise. I've never been so overwhelmed by such a detailed presentation of the character through facial expressions, speech and intonation, deep and keen of thought, elegance of movements аnd appearance in general ... in a word - that's where charisma is. Others just faded out behind him... Thanks for this work, btw. Nicely done :3

I rather like the car Lockdown chose while on Earth. Beautiful car. I also don't really see him as a villain. He's merely going about locating and bringing back things that were requested to be returned to their creators. ..." they don't like it.. it upsets the cosmic balance". If he were more like Megatron, maybe villain would apply.

Prime Productions Possibly. Though, there was a villain-like moment when Keb looked at him in that finally fight with O.Prime and Lockdown yelled, "You see my face, you die" (like Keb would know any interstellar police looking for Lockdown). Just an interesting character that one.

I couldn't agree more. Lockdown was more of a galactic balance keeper who was doing what he had to. and to be honest, the heroes of this movie are pretty much the villains because every single autobot in this movie is an asshole and optimus prime is their overly charismatic, sociopathic killer of a leader who truly is a traitor to his kind. but the decepticons aren't really better so I swear to god, Lockdown was the hero of this movie and they killed him like he was just another Decepticon

If you all don’t understand how Lockdown lost in the last fight was that he had a weakness. When the odds are against him in a battle, he underestimates his foes. The movie justified that Lockdown never lost a fight since his underestimation is with multiple people. Anyways, if Lockdown killed Shane and Tessa, he would’ve won since they would not get the sword out of Optimus’s chest.
