I think you should've made false tnt traps, traps that didn't have tnt/weren't traps, that would fool them into being weary around the false traps, and make them waste time by trying to go around

Having a trapped warden at the right distance underground so they could have darkness would have been great.But not too close so they don't get blasted.

a way to make it harder is add a wall in the middle so there are two entrances and only one can go to the exit

The biggest hack for mazes is just follow the right side of the wall the whole way through and you'll eventually get to the end.
