It’s with a heavy heart that I announce that as of June 14th, Echo (this rabbit in the video) is no longer here. After a vet visit, we discovered multiple health complications and then had an emergency happen when I got home with her. She had to be put down, but was surrounded by love in her final moments. This is the harsh reality of owner neglect and she could still be here today if the owners did what they were supposed to. I will be making a video on her diagnosis and last days soon ❤ RIP Echo

This isn't even about ignorance. You don't have to have any previous knowledge on rabbits to know that MOLD in their cage isn't okay. It's neglect, and the owners just straight up not caring.

The biggest problem here is that this is not rare. People think this is how it's ok to treat small animals. It's just a bunny. It's just a hamster. It's just a guinea big. It's just a goldfish. Just, just, just. If this was unique to this specific horrible human, that would be one thing. But this is the life of most small animals. How were here teeth not overgrown? How did she not die from stasis? There are so many loved and well cared for bunnies out there that get sick and die seemingly out of nowhere but these neglected pets seem to live on and on and on in these conditions. Horrible.

I don’t think I have EVER seen such cruelty I cannot believe that the parents allowed this! I am bloody angry, upset and peed off, the food was completely dried up and the colour of the pellets had faded! I don’t normally write in the comments but this beautiful girl deserved better, she deserved a warm bed, food, hay, veggies and a bloody cage that gave her enough room to jump around! This is not just feeding her the wrong food this is horrendous I sat and cried when I saw her come running to you I know she is safe, warm, fed and loved thank you Austin for being a really great human being! ❤❤❤

My little heart can't take it, she must have been worried she was gonna go back to the awful place for the first few days. Truly a prisoner for a child’s entertainment. Unbelievably unfair and I am so glad she made it out of there and is now getting to experience proper care, no matter what she has been through it seems she understands that shes now loved and so quickly too. I hope she can make a full recovery from the neglect and find an amazing family that will spoil her every single day. If you havent named her already she seems like a Velvet or Violet to me, kind of a luxurious name but still cute to suit her now enriched posh bunny lifestyle where she can demand attention and treats, binkie around and hopefully find the bun-love of her life. Great video and thank you for rescuing her 🐇❤

She was a cute little girl. She looked like a baby bunny but in reality, she was elderly. Bunnies only have an average lifespan of 7-10 years. Being so stressed out no doubt lowered her lifespan. Anyone who commits to an animal must take good care of it and help it live its best life. RIP Echo. I hope your eternity involves hopping around in fields of clover which would be bunny heaven.

That is not territorial behavior, it is because she feels cornered. I've dealt with rabbits like that, they need lots of hiding places and space dividers. I'd suggest only approaching her if she has several "exit routes" and never keep going towards her when she backs up. That way you will gain her trust. 😊 She definately suffered a lot physically and mentally in her previous home

Heartbreaking to see those conditions that she was living in! I'm sorry, if your lives are too busy to pay attention to what your daughter is doing to their pet, as someone who is only 14 yrs old, they have no business having a pet or allowing their daughter responsibility for a pet. Those parents were as responsible for the welfare of that poor bunny as the daughter. Thank goodness for Eva and her way of talking to them so the rabbit could be rescued and thank you Austin for your part and taking her in.

Great job to you both for rescuing this sweet and poor bun. Thank you for stepping up to do something about her situation. Just an FYI. True Holland Lops are only between 3-4 lbs. They are very small. Even though previous owner neglected the poor bun, they did keep the pellet bowl full 24/7, unfortunately with no hay or veggies, but at least she wasn’t starving. Bunnies chew on stuff, not because they are hungry, but basically she was very bored as well as frustrated by living in these conditions 24/7.

I'm so glad she got the love she needed before she sadly passed away. It takes alot for me to cry but this video made me cry. The sadness in her eyes of being left alone with completely nothing😢 The amount of pellets may have given her gut stasis as they are only suppose to have small amounts a day especially if she wasn't use to eating them to suddenly having loads. RIP little girl. Free from pain now 💔😥 Makes me love both my house rabbits 10x more if that's even possible.

I encounter the same story... I went to buy a secondhand furniture and came back with a rabbit who lived 7 years in a mouse cage !! So small it was only twice the length of the rabbit. He has no name and the only good point was that the owner cleaned the cage regularly. The first day, he didn't move even he was now free-roam... And gradually he started to do zoomies, explore and enjoy life ! And then, 4 months later... He died. Too old, too many issues. But he died free., little Youri ❤️

I am a rabbit owner and I while I appreciate the earnest desire to care for this rabbit, I hope that everyone realizes that they took the animal out a stressful unnatural place to another unnatural place. I used to keep my bunnies indoors in the same pen arrangements and allowed them to roam the house from time to time. After many rugs and damaged based boards, I then decided to let them explore the backyard during the morning periods and soon observed the difference in their behavior. It was astounding. They reminded me that they were now IN their natural habitat by digging and burrowing in and between the hedges, exploring the setting up territories, and then by eating select shrubs and herbs that seem to sought out. The truth is that we are not letting these animals live in their best environments. It is just impossible to recreate this setup indoors no matter how much we try. They were designed to graze and burrow and dig and explore. As such, I created little "safe spaces" for them to access fresh water and pellets and shelter form rain and would let them roam as much as 8 hours in a day. They are the happiest bunch I know and even made friends with the neighbors cat who comes by the "play". Its so odd to watch them lay down on the grass together and chill. Anyway, just wanted to share my experience with these animals and hopefully increase awareness and sensitivity to their needs. Also, please neuter or spay as recommended.

Well said pal. These monkeys took the rabbit and put to sleep. If not well cared it wouldn't have lived for 7 years. These Muppets took the bunny and killed it and now trying to make money out of it.
