If you stroll through the historical centre of Lofer you would be forgiven for thinking you were on a film set. Down in the valley, where the raging waters of the Saalach thunder through the rapids of the Teufelsschlucht, water sports enthusiasts find a true paradise for kayaking, rafting and canyoning. Even professionals treasure the conditions here and compete once a year in the Lofer Rodeo watched by thousands of spectators.
