Thankyou! Depends on the brightness. Night shots were lonfest exposures so atleast 30seconds. Daytime shots only a second or 2 :)

+theboytheycalljonny1 Thanks! I used my backup camera which was a 600D with the kit lens for day time shots and Rokinon 14mm Prime for astro shots

+siddharthprem Thanks for the info. Heading to Bergen soon so deciding what gear to bring. Have a 5d mkii, 24-70mm for general use and 14mm 2.8 samyang prime for wide shots / night skies. If you have any helpful suggestions, i'm all ears. Thank you! J

theboytheycalljonny1 for the 14mm prime if you haven't already, download a good distortion correction add on. As much as I love that lens the distortion can be quite heavy.

+siddharthprem Distortion is pretty harsh with this lens but no worse that ones 4 times its price. Its completely manual so no auto focus which can be tricky at times (night skies are straightforward though). The only correction i use is within photoshop. I had trouble finding a suitable add-on but i must have a look again. Thanks for the reminder! Btw, if you have stills, it might be an idea to pop a link up in the video description so anyone checking the video can also check your flicks.

Time-lapse so hyper-fast that it does a cheapening disservice to the Aurora.
