Log Deck With Automatic Raising Ramp

Жыл бұрынWe build a log deck at our Woodland HM 122 sawmill. Its wide enough to drive out tractor in between it so we can clean under it, and the ramp that extends to the sawmill has a winch hooked to it to raise and lower it.

Hi you can also add a cabnle to the center post of ramp to turn the heavy logs with winch

The challenge of trying to drop a log directly on to the bed of the mill with hydraulic-powered machinery is that its easy to damage the bed with the machinery since the controls are only so precise. I know this because I tried it while renting an excavator and hit the bed with my bucket - d'oh! Your drawbridge contraption keeps the hydraulic machine at a safe distance and looks pretty easy to use. Nice job!

@@rsttimberworks we got our woodland 122 back in March and started posting then, it’s been a lot of work but we love it, we got 1/2 of our shed made about to start on the back half 15’x30’ drying side of the shed
