Yeah. Logan was the only one who could withstand it. I'm not sure if it was a good thing or not that Charles remembered again. Part of me wished he didn't remember all that before he died. Professor X, known by pretty much every mutant as a good soul, tragically kills everyone in the mansion by accident. What a thing to remember before you die.

They literally mention in the movie that seven mutants died, so no, he didn't kill all the students.

​@Jawn it's also said and implied many times that the guy that was trying to make new mutants released the virus that wiped out most of the mutants and sterilized the rest. Though I'm sure, Charles nuking those mutants at the school probably opened the door for them to go through with the plan.

For me, the saddest thing is that I think Charles knew he was responsible for the death of the X-Men and the students, who he thought of as his children.

Then Actually the plot twist of this movie was that Charles is the one who killed all the mutant students including the X-men because of his seizure 😭😭 that's why Logan wants to send him in the middle of the Ocean to stop him from harming who's around him and so that's why he buried him there because there's a water.

You know what’s even more heartbreaking? The character got brought back by the MCU just for the sake of cheap fan service and died in the most ass and disrespectful way possible after appearing for like 2 minutes

Dafne Keen is 17 now and is just about the perfect age to return to this role in the MCU. I really hope they do that.

She was awesome and I cheered when I saw that Dafne was cast as Lyra Belaqua in the TV Adaptation of His Dark Materials. Seasons 1&2 were awesome and I'm looking forward to the final season, which will hopefully be out this year.

Dafne said she is up for returning to that role but no one has asked her yet, my hope they will do the X23 storyline from the comics just with some adjustments to incorporate the Logan story line into it.

@@brandonparisien2381 Before she describes Logan's death, Yukio states "It's not like I get a complete picture. More like looking through a keyhole." It's entirely possible that the vision wasn't clear enough to show how Logan had aged. She was also worried about Logan operating on himself because at the time she spoke to him, his healing factor was failing. And considering that the director of both movies decided to confirm that Yukio's prediction meant his death in Logan, I'm going to say she called it correctly, as much as she could see it.

@@Kartissa I can't agree, even if the director did some fan-service retconning. In the 2013 film, Yukio specifically said that she'd seen Logan die in that room, so there was no mistaking which death she'd seen.

We had 17 years of Jackman as Logan. I don't think it hits younger people the same when they are binging all the X-Men movies in a short period of time. Also, a superhero is never fully dead. Prequels, alternate timelines & multiverses, clones, recasting, reboots... there's numerous ways they can come back. Jackman recently announced he'll be back as Wolverine doing Deadpool 3. Either the story excited him to return or they dumped enough money at his door.

Me too. Almost everybody kept staying in their seats, crying, no questions, no answers, no chatting, just like at a funeral. After some minutes the firsts went out and the others followed them. No sounds, no laughting, nothing. Was a sad moment, but a very good feelings about this masterpiece.

Same. I saw the first X-Men when I was still a kid and I literally grew up with the franchise. I saw Logan in theater too and I cried. Everyone did. It felt like an entire chapter of my life came to a close. Couldn't get my head straight for two days after watching it.

I'm still crying now! It's why we love Vicky.

I was a kid as well when the first movie came out. By the time Logan released it was not a pleasant time for me either. So it really hit like a ton of bricks.

I like to think of it as a movie about a man who also happens to be a superhero. I’ve heard the comparisons to Dark Knight and….no. Not for me anyway. Let’s just say that I can’t suspend my disbelief that a millionaire/billionaire would do anything remotely close to Bruce Wayne does. But a man that doesn’t have much, been turned into a weapon, can’t create lasting healthy relationships and is ultimately killed by the very thing he is? Yeah that tracks.

It was like that in my theater too. Like I said in my own post, even grow men were crying! I won’t lie I was good open till the part when Laura called wolverine “daddy.“ I had to turn away and I shed a tear.

I've never heard a movie theater that quiet. Everyone just sat there and then somberly walked out in silence

Dafne Keen may already be the best actress of her generation, yet I don't think she gets the attention she deserves. So much of the focus is on Millie Bobby Brown, (fun fact: Brown was one of the actresses who auditioned for Laura. Losing the role to Keen is what freed her up to take the role of Eleven, who is actually very much like X-23) who is certainly a great actress in her own right, but I really do believe that Keen is even BETTER.

Some stories are more real than life because they represent truths that are deeper than individual experience. That's why you can watch a movie about a superhero with metal claws and find that there's more believability in it than most straight dramas.

It was different in the comics. Wolverine killed the X-men thinking they were the villains. (He was seeing an illusion)

Yeah its explicit in this (when Charles remembers and is confessing to 'Logan') That when his disease first manifested he had a seizure and killed everyone at the school. So while it wasn't all the mutants, it was a substantial amount of them. Attrition and no new mutants since because of the anti mutant corn syrup in the food supply took care of the rest. Also, my pet fan theory is that the corn syrup is the root cause of Logans healing factor fading, because if it completely suppresses latent mutant genes from activating, what would it do to active genes? It would also explain why Stephen Merchant is down to smell distance for tracking mutants, when before it was powerful enough for him to find them from across the planet.

Pure BS, in all the X-men films we saw Logan in love with Jean since the first movie, and now you're trying to tell me that when he dies is the first time he ever loved someone?
