A detailed, start-to-finish tutorial on how to use Logger Pro's video analysis tool. For a quick tutorial with not as much detailed explanations, see • Logger Pro Video Analy... . In this tutorial, I show my Physics First students how to collect position-time data for a constant motion toy car.

Thank you so much for this video, my professor did a horrible job at explaining how to use logger pro, I cannot imagine how much time I could waste without this.

Hi, Thank you for a great and very usefull video. I have a question that I hope you can help answering. I do not know what I have clicked on to make this happen, but my vertical axis (in the video) has moved right and all my data points (in the video) moved with it, so the data points look as if they have been scooped to the right in the video. Do you have any idea what caused this? and how I can reverse it? It is too late to hit Ctrl Z since I discovered this after having saved. Br Johnny

Do you know if the video analysis tool on logger pro allows for two origins and two different data sets be measure at the same time

Hi Robert. I assume you no longer may need this information - so sorry that I didn't see your question until now. You can collect multiple data sets using the same video. Collect all the data from one object first. Rewind the video and then press the Set Active Point button, which looks like red and green lollipops on their side. (You get there from the skinny vertical menu bar; it's the 6th button from the top.) Then collect data on your second (and third, forth, etc.) object like normal. Both sets of data in the x- and y-directions will be recorded and displayed. I'm pretty sure you can only set one axis origin, though.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think only one origin is allowed. However, you can choose multiple objects to analyze in one video. First, collect data as usual on the first object. Then, locate the 6th button from the top on the vertical video toolbar. The button is called "Set Active Point" and looks like two red and green lollipops on their side. Click on this button and select "Add Point Series". Rewind the video if needed and collect data on your second object. Repeat for more objects if you have them.
