*R.I.P Loggers Leap* 1989 - 2015 _Officially Closed In 2019_

Memories of this ride. Such a shame it will be gone, a truly thrilling log flume!

It's sad that this ride closed unexpectedly, since it's been closed for the whole of the 2016 and 2017 seasons, it's very unlikely that it will re-open in 2018.

Loggers leap was my favourite when I was a kid the only thing thst scared me was the dark section and that red light inside thought we was gonna stop or something lol

How I remembered it from a memory when I was five: At first, it's a slow ride around a few turns until the dark section. Once in the tunnel it goes down and tilts a lot, its pitch black apart from one red light. Once out it's instantly up and straight down, very quickly. And then it's over. But it's very slow. Honestly, after seeing this it's wild how much I forgot. This was my first rollercoaster.

I went on this with my cousin, shes only 7 and she loved it!

HOLD ON TIGHT FOLKS! THIS IS THE WILDEST RIDE IN THE WILDERNESS! I laughed at that bit so much!

Thanks for all the days, Loggers! Heck, even when me and my dad visited in 2005, we *actually* rode this *4* times in one day! No joke/lie! Especially since my dad could not withstand the new rides/direction the park was going in (from an family-friendly alternative for Chessington to an adrenaline junkie paradise when the 4 major UK theme parks came under the same ownership). *Gone,* but thanks to these POV videos available on YT, *not* forgotten.

The best ride ever of thorpe park, I renember riding it as an young child with family. It was very amazing and fun, I'd been going to the ride many years I can. Shame it's really gone now, I hope they get another log flume ride, refurbish loggers leap and not another flipping large rollercoaster again You will be missed loggers leap tons Rest in peace

If I had it my way, I would’ve removed Depth Charge instead of Loggers Leap.

I miss this ride. Science the fright night that I have been on today and platform 15 the new horror attraction goes around this And the outskirts of the park and you can see that no work has been done on this nor has any work been done to the station of it either. The most recent thing happen to it is platform 15 which goes around the outside of it and uses the que space for it

Miss this ride so much. As much as i love coasters, you can't beat a log flume for me and this was my favourite one in the UK.

Oh wow I remember this ride so well back when Thopre Park was more for family with the river boats, the train ride to the farm and the large model town. Once got to Loggers Leap as the first riders and the ride operators let me go round three times!

I'm not sure if Tidal Wave is better than Logger's Leap. If you looked at the splash factor, there'd be no contest. However, Logger's Leap is longer and has the airtime bump in its drop. What do you you think?

when I went on this I had to hold on sooooo tight coz I was in the middle and someone was behind me and I had no chair back so I was slipping backwards 😂😂

Man , I loved this ride. Especially the drop in the dark !

One time when I rode this there was a frog in a log! I also had to evacuate this ride from the top of the lift hill one time as well! Good times

Apart from leaves and KFC drinks in it, the ride looks in alright condition but when you see the second drop when your at the top of the colossus left hill it looks horrible

I last went to Thorpe Park 14 years ago; this was my favourite ride from then (weren't allowed to go on some of the wilder rides :( ). Sad it's since closed!

I went Thorpe park yesterday and I went on samurai a couple times and every time I went on I saw loggers leap with no water or nothing being changed rip

i went on it once the thing that moves you up stopped and other carts crashed into behind us and we had a massive centipede going down the hill, i was terrified

I miss loggers!

I have been trying to find this ride all day! I remember going on colossus at like 11/12? And i saw it in the back, with no water on or anything, and i was really confused. Cause it had pieces of the ride missing and i showed my step sister. I remember going on this ride a lot when i was younger. So next time you go on colossus, at the top right after going up the conveyor, look to your right and toward the back past saw! You can see it! (Unless they demolished it. But last time i went was 2019 and its remains were there :D )

When riding Hyperia if you sit on the right hand side, when going up the lift hill and look down you can see the blue channel still there!! My favourite photo of this is when Princess Diana rode it with William and Harry.

I miss the Thorpe park train and how I'd see people waving at us just as we're about to go up.

Wow last time i went to Thorpe Park was the year 2000, and went many times during the 1990's. Tidal wave had just opened as a new ride there the last time i was there i think. The river rapids were still called Thunder River and the farm, which you had to cross a lake to visit, was still there. The queue for Depth Charge would get big at the end of the day when people started moving towards the dome to wind down/go home, everyone lined up for one last ride. Loggers Leap was an iconic ride and everyone went on it, you just didn't visit Thorpe Park and not go on it. Sad to think it's gone now I've heard the park has changed a lot since i was last there and maybe not in ways i would like. Part of me wants to go back one more time after all these years but i think if i did i would be disappointed. Sometimes it's best to leave things the way you remembered them in the past.

I only went to the park annually from 2015, so I never got to ride this. Looked fun 🙁

If this was still open when I went to my Thorpe trip with school I would of gone it defo , I went July this year so obviouslyyyyy it wasn’t open and hasn’t been for a long time but it looked so fun

Went on this once when i was a kid and got stuck in the dark bit right up the top when we were about to go down ill never forget the screaming and hollering noises i made because i was so scared

You can still see this ride when at the top of collossus, it looks very creepy now and they haven’t even bothered removing it.

The height the ride went up and the amount of time it took to get to the top i wouldve thought the drop would have been bigger.I still would have been scared tho 😂 and I guess they didn't do a bigger drop as its a water park
