This song hits me different than any other Logic song ever has. The production for the Open Mic to have it sound like he’s at an actual open mic, plus this gives me a huge 22 2’s vibe from Jay’s Reasonable Doubt album. The lyrics are so raw and you can tell how much the therapy, and his family and friends have helped him grow into the happy and free man he has always wanted to be. Then that masterful transition into Aquarias III, which feels like the mic drop for his rap career. Incredible beat/production, Logic sounds so confident and free. “Fuck sales and streams, none of that shit entails dreams. Fuck rap, fuck press, fuck feeling like I’m less, if ain’t about my happiness I could give a fuck less.” Logic has had so many incredible lines over his career, but this is my absolute favorite; it’s not some super crazy punchline, but it is the most powerful line he has ever delivered.
