The purpose of this mini-series is to explain the fundamentals and basics of mixing drums to help teach people who are just starting out or would like to know more about mixing drums. This session is perfect for anyone who is recording or mixing drums in a home studio environment with limited mics, room treatment or plugins. Everything I use for the mix is a stock plugin found in Logic Pro X, however, these concepts can be applied to any DAW and even some live sound applications.

In part two of this video series, I am mixing a drum session from a friend of mine and fellow KZfaqr, @morgannelson6493 (reach out to him if you are in need of a session drummer for any projects). This second video focuses on EQ. EQ is one of the most important parts of the drum mix as it helps to balance the frequencies, remove mud, and help to add impact. Be sure to subscribe to the channel to be notified when the subsequent parts of this series are released! Thanks for watching!
