Logitech Driving Force GT FIXED | Flashing Light and No Steering

My Logitech Driving Force Gt (DFGT) recently stopped calibrating properly and wouldn’t output any steering information but all the buttons and pedals would still work, just no steering or force feedback. The center light was flashing repeatedly and different power supplies didn’t fix it.
Power supply: 24V DC tip positive
Possible causes of flashing light are:
Bad power supply
Improperly functioning IR scroll wheel (my issue)
Dusty/dirty/disconnected/broken motor
Skipped or broken teeth in the gear drive
Hopefully this helps someone

Still working‼️‼️ I copped a second hand wheel and it had the same issues so I bought mini screwdriver the same night and put all my faith in the video 😂😂 my boy steered me clear I had a great gaming session with it 🔥🔥🔥

Thanks!! It happened to me so i was like "nice my wheel broke i dont want to buy another one" i looked on youtube and found this video its very easy and u can fix it in 15 mins

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! My small wheel with slits actually broke in half due to age, so I purchased a stainless steel wheel and it fit perfectly, but needed your additional direction to shift the wheel to the back. Immediately worked. Thanks again!

cheers for this!, [posting this in case anyone else has the problem that I did], my issue was indeed related to the little wheel, just like in this video, it would slide forward even if I put it back, what I discovered by taking it out was actually the circular piece had cracked, meaning it would bounce around no matter what I glued the back part of it, careful not to use to much so it doesn't go into the holes for the light, and let it dry, then I put it back together and now she works beautiful!

for those of you with steering wheels g25 g27 g290 any wheel with the dual motors this will not work for you. your internals look completely different.

I did this but now again if i plug my DFGT into the PC it blinks the light for just a half second and stops.Could you help me?

Hello, My "Improperly functioning IR scroll wheel" problem is not as same as you. Firstly it was the same problem and the problem was solved, but this happened again so when i fix it again somehow the wheel got broken. Do you know where i can purchase a new wheel? Thank you.

Peace be upon you, I have a G29 joystick installed on my PS4. Suddenly the power went out and when it came back on, the joystick wheel was damaged and it rotated non-stop right and left. Can you guide me on the solution?

But do you need the psu plugged in for the steering ro be recognised? On USB only all buttons work but not steering at all...presumably the little light needs 24v to shine the beam through the wheel?

you need psu to have it on calibration. usb alone cant power up the calibration process

im in the same boat with the g27... look up videos or formus for your specific wheel. when i ended up doing was unplugging my usb main from the port i had it on... and connecting it to the pc directly and my wheel came on.
