If this device were priced at $199 it would be real competition for the Nintendo Switch lite. Battery life is insane and the screen quality looks great. The only other problem is the D pad isn't that good from what I've heard.

I was extremely critical of the portal. I picked one up this weekend and I have to say, it is pretty good. I almost wish Xbox had something similar for remote play but it would be nice to also have access to GFN and other remote play apps like Steam.

Juju is definitely going to grow up as an Xbox or PC guy 😂. Funny, I think my daughter (3 year old) will end up being an Xbox / PC player too, because that’s what she plays with me. I have a PS5 but I barely touch it but we are always on the Xbox/PC. Of course I’ll buy her a PS if that’s what she wants.

@deathdecorvid9926 not that I care about cloud gaming, but ps cloud streaming is 4K/60fps. ... Is Xcloud still 1080p/60fps? If you don't have a ps5 and solid internet, I guess you won't have a good time with the portal 🤷‍♂️ As for me, I have AT&T Fiber (1 gig) and have Unlimited on Hotspot. The portal accommodates needs very well. ... Hell, I mean folks going out picking it up, so I guess there is a need 😏

Incorrect, the PS portal is tied to the PS5. It cannot work without the PS5.

@OJ90- Get out of here. Is that something new with Sony's remote play? ... Bottom line is this other than the ps5 needing to be in rest mode it's that big of a deal and that fact you can play on it from wherever is the EXACT SAME as what doc is saying in this vid. But yes, the downside of the portal is the PS5 acting as an active modern/router combo to run the pprtal. Still not stopping everyone from buying it, tho 😏

@@mikee405OKC I was simply pointing out the difference between the 2. 1 is for remote play for another device, while the other only needs a subscription service to play games.
