Logitech K380 Keyboard: Typing Sound Test

You can hear sounds of typing on the Logitech 380 keyboard compared with the ThinkPad Compact Bluetooth Keyboard with TrackPoint and the Happy Hacking Keyboard (HHKB) Professional 2 Type-S.
The Logitech 380 keyboard is not a membrane keyboard like the Logitech K480 but a pantograph keyboard like the K810 or K811. So it gives me a good impression for typing on it.
According to CNET's review, "I liked the feel of the keys and they're spread out enough to keep mistypes down to a minimum.
Aside from the multidevice support, the other selling point of the K380 is that Logitech says that the two included AAA batteries will power the keyboard for two years. I'm not sure how much that's based on, but even if it did half that it'd be good." (CNET's review).
The keys of the K380 have a smoother action to them and are quiter than the K480 and the K810.
In conclusion, I'll countinually use the HHKB pro 2 Type-S. LOL!

Agree. Other videos are so annoying. Narrators cannot stop themself from talking blah blah blah. And some are even worse. Just showing the picture of keyboard with voice over. And title the vids "review". Helll noooo

Agree. One of the best review. Tho I'm much more interested in the thinkpad keyboard (albeit much more expensive). Thanks for the review. This k380 is really silent.

I really like the aesthetic design choice Logitech went with on this one. There are few wireless non mechanical keyboards I choose to utilize in certain scenarios and I could definitely see this being one of them alongside the Apple keyboard. At home at my workstation I am partial to the Poker II with browns.

3 years later and the blue colored keyboard is selling for more than what the original price was. I swear the different colors that were made are now a collectors items. I have 3 colors and they feel like one piece and not hollow. Best keyboards I've ever used.

Thank you for your interest in my video. HHKB is a just keyboard which has a minimal layout not for special use. I always use it for creating a document using word, spread sheet, etc. I like the HHKB because I not only can save the space on my desk but also like a minimal design.

60 fps still looks amazing when you have spent the last hour watching 25p and 30p video... especially the first minute when you are waving the keyboards in front of the camera!

This is the BEST Logitech keyboard review I have found - because the narrator can ACTUALLY TOUCH TYPE. All the other narrators are chatter boxes who *cannot type*.

좋은 비교 감사합니다. 울트라나브와 k380 타건음은 거의 들리지 않는 수준이군요. 저는 저소음 키보드를 찾고 있는데, 아무래도 이런 펜타그래프+아이솔레이션 방식이 가장 조용하다는 것을 스스로 답으로 내렸습니다만 걸리는 점이 있습니다. 스트로크가 짧아도 너무 짧다는 것이 문제고, 다음으로 구분감이 너무 약하다는 것 또한 문제인 것 같아요. 반면에 hhkb type-s는 추가로 튜닝을 하신 것인지 타 영상에 비해서 상당히 정숙한 타건음을 들려주는데 혹시 추가적인 튜닝을 한 건가요? 윈도우 사용자가 쓰기에는 키배열이 너무 매니악하다는 점과 가격적인 단점이 있는데 타건음은 정말로 마음에 드네요. 구분감은 좀 어떤가요? 추가적으로 사용해보신 키보드 중에서 스트로크가 어느정도 깊이있으면서도 구분감이 꾀나 뚜렷하고 상당한 저소음인 제품은 어떤게 있으셨는지도 궁금하네요. (옆에 자는 사람이 있어도 신경 거슬리지 않을 정도의 타건음을 찾고 있습니다. 펜타그래프+아이솔레이션 방식이 가장 좋긴 하지만, 저소음+낮은구분감 은 오타가 너무 많이 난다는 단점이 있어서요...)

HHKB Type-S는 아무런 튜닝도 하지 않았습니다. 저는 다양한 키보드를 접해보았는데요, 가장 인상이 깊고 매력적인 키보드를 꼽으라면 역시 HHKB Type-S를 선택할 것 입니다. 그 이유는 스트로크가 어느 정도 깊이 있을뿐만 아니라 구분감과 함께 저소음이라는 요건을 모두 갖추었다고 생각하기 때문입니다. 이 점은 문의주신 내용과 상당 부분 일치하는 것 같습니다. 거기에 더해 해피해킹의 배열은 다른 키보드를 사용하고픈 마음이 들지 않을 정도로 제겐 너무나 매력적인 것 같습니다. 물론 처음 해피해킹을 접했을 때는 익숙치 않은 배열에 상당히 불편했었습니다. 하지만 타건감이 너무 마음에 들어 불편을 감수하고서 사용하다보니 어느새 불편함이 익숙해지면서 오히려 편안함으로 바뀌었습니다. 그래서 요즘은 일반 표준배열 키보드를 사용하는 것이 오히려 더 불편해진 것 같습니다.

역시 그렇군요 ^^; 리얼포스 저소음 버전과는 또다른 매력이 있지 않나 저도 생각되네요. 제 이런 요구사항을 모두 충족하는 것도 type-s 인 것 같은데, 제가 windows 사용자라 배열 때문에 걱정이 많이 될 수 밖에 없네요... 그도 그럴것이, 집에서야 적응해서 쓸 수 있는데 회사에서는 또 업무특성상 풀배열을 사용하지 않으면 업무에 지장이 생기는터라... 예전에 HHKB lite2 버전을 사용해본 적 있는데, 손이 좀 꼬이더군요 ㅠ.ㅠ 그래서 대안으로 fc660c를 저소음으로 개조할까 싶은데, 중국 무접점 제품 쓰면서 아직은 좀 망설이고 있습니다. 장문의 상세한 답변 정말 감사합니다 ^^

Hi, So which one is much more comfortable in typing feels? I knew Lenovo keyboard giving awesome feels but not sure the others, ignoring the HHKB.

+Eugene JONG If we focus on the effective utilization of the keyboard, I think there is no keyboard which is more comfortable than a Lenovo's TP with trackpoint. But I don't like its typing feels.

+Jonathan Ramos Thank you for your comments. It is the Elecom EX-G M-XT1DRBK Trackball mouse. I bought this because of my curiosity about a wireless trackball. It was a nice trackball but it couldn't replace my SlimBlade.

Yeah, I think my spacebar's sound became a bit louder than the rest of the keys. Everything else sounds muffled, but the spacebar is like a normal clickety sound. Which is why I checked KZfaq if there's a fix for that and I found this vid.

@@dave4347 I love the HHKB too I have one as well but it's not a type S. I use the Realforce a little more just because I also game a lot and it's got the silent switches so no one can hear it on discord. I think I like both equally just in different ways. HHKB wins for travel and work though.

White key cap keyboard? The keyboard is HappyHacking Keyboard Professional 2 Type-S. Of course, you can replace key cap and change some keys via FN key and switch built in.

I got this keyboard for productivity fast typing (I touch type) and let me tell you it does not deliver. The only upside is the fast Bluetooth connection. The round small keys are a pain in the ass and I can't get used to it!!!
