THIS is the review I've been waiting for! Thanks, really helpful as ever, was tempted by the MX Brio (currently using the original Brio) but this has convinced me to save up for the Ultra.

I haven't used earbuds with a wire this short to monitor my audio in a long time, so they ended up causing some annoying audio artifacts. I used a high pass filter to cut out most of them, but I had to then course correct the rest of the EQ to make it not painfully sibilant. So overall, the audio took a hit.

I prefer the MX Brio because although the Razer makes details on YOU look sharper if you don't have a makeup person to make you look flawless on camera then you will probably wind up softening the image to make YOURSELF look more flawless, to me it looks like the MX Brio already does that while maintaining the sharpness of your surroundings but yeah if you don't care about all the flaws you may have such as skin problems and age then the Razer will definitely make you clear front and center on your cam

The auto focus with the Razer must be really annoying when it happens during a call

Yeah, it's pretty rare though, it only happens as bad as I showed when changing the frame rate or resolution. Which would mean you have OBS or Synapse already open. Toggling the autofocus off and then back on seems to fix this.

The Kiyo Pro Ultra remains the top choice. Hate that it's exclusive to Razer's website. Really hoping we can see a competitor go all the way to a 1 inch sensor or maybe even go plug and play micro four thirds (fixed prime lens instead of interchangeable like the Logitech Movo) and hopefully still under $500

can you use the Kiyo with MacOS? It's probably overkill for my use case (video calls) but I really need something that can handle poor lightening conditions.

I bought the Razer Kiyo Pro Ultra partly based on your and others' reviews. But I've discovered one ... "complication": There doesn't appear to be any software from Razer for Mac OS. Have you solved this problem?

@@Reapertips, unfortunately not. I can say that the defaults out-of-the-box are good and it's a huge improvement over my previous Logitech C930e, but that sets a fairly low bar. I can also say that the narrow field of view is somewhat annoying, so in retrospect, I would probably pick the Elgoto Facecam Pro ...

Hey guys, I found what seems to be a reasonable solution. Note that the Razer Kilo Pro Ultra (please shorten this name Razer!) is a real nice camera out of the box - way better than my old Logitech c930e. I had mostly accepted thing but was feeling a bit of regret that I hadn't gone for the Legato FaceCam Pro (if, for no other reason, the [slightly] shorter name). But one thing was constantly getting to me: the Narrow Field of View. I swear I must have been Italian in some previous life because I'm constantly gesturing with my hands in wide expansive ways ... most of which was clipped by the Razer Kilo Pro Ultra ... but I had a vague memory that the default FoV was 72˚ but its maximum was 82˚ ... This pushed me to look again for a solution to the Mac OS Camera Settings problem - really Apple, why aren't you just providing this out of the box?!?!? You're supposed to be the King o' Media Content Creators! ... I decided to check Home Brew and sure enough there's a "Camera Control" application there ("brew install cameracontrol"), and it gives you a lot of what you'd want.

Do u think the Kiyo Ultra compares to something like the IPhone when used as webcam. I used IVCam ($24 paid version) and was blown away w the 4k quality of my IPhone 11 Pro

BOTH webcams LACK infrared (IR) depth-sensing technology required for Windows Hello. Once you've experienced the comfort and security of password less Windows unlock, you'll never go back. Great review though, too bad the Razer does not have this tech.

I would get it now since it's so good and I don't think there will be a new model that soon simply because it finally got put on Amazon under a month ago. It was a Razer.com exclusive for over a year. Even if they do make a new version, I think you'll be extremely satisfied with the Kiyo Pro Ultra.

키요 울트라가 이미지 품질과 배경의 af 처리 를 볼 때 사실상 dslr(dslr + 더미 배터리 + 쿨링 솔루션 + 캡쳐보드) 구성을 싼 가격으로 대체 할 수 있는 유일한 제품인듯

True. On another note Logitech camera is a nope and Logitech software is a NEVER.

@@sigil3084 hmmmm i do agree yes and nope, but at the end logitech software is a bit better then synapse. *But* You can install Synapse, do webcam settings then apply for sure, and unistall Synapse, you keep those settings. I think its a win... ^^
