Being plastic doesn't necessarily mean the build quality is worse. That K380 is an absolute tank, I've been using one for 4 years now and it seems almost indestructible. Additionally, while the K380 uses AA batteries, the battery on the MX Keys is not replaceable, so once that battery dies, it becomes a wired keyboard. Just some things to keep in mind before making a purchase. 7:26 -The K380 does connect to IOS, Android, Linux and everything that supports Bluetooth keyboards.

I also prefer the K380. I've had mine since it came out, and it's still working perfectly fine. I may replace it with the K380S though, only for the fact that they added a hardware fn lock. That way you don't have to install Options+ just to enable that. Regarding your MX Keys comment though, unless you use the backlight 24/7, it's going to last a good 2 weeks between charges. At that rate, it's more likely the keys will die first than the battery. And if you do end up reaching that point, replacing the battery isn't difficult, as long as you have some basic DIY skills - Just heat up the rubber feet, remove some screws, and replace the battery.

I have the k380 and it is amazing. But! the typing is not that fast and I REALLY felt the lack of key lighting.

I love the big mx keys and I have it for quite some years now. It‘s a fantastic keyboard. Now that I own my first ipad ever, it was easy to choose the smaller mx keys mini and I just ordered it on amazon in my favourite colour (pink

Being a photographer I don't type much (mostly PS shortcuts and P on lightroom to preselect the images) so I'll go for the k380 that looks super stylish! Did you say the k380 doesn't work with iOs? because it does!

Yes both keyboards can connect to iOS or windows. You just press one of the function buttons (F1,F2 or F3) to change the device the keyboard is connected to.

Both are still big for me. Not portable. I use the k380 but not good enough for travel and put it with my tablet for work.

It's the battery made the difference. I rather have ordinary battery with 2 years lifespan rather than charging often. Got my K380 for US19 so what's there to complaint 😅

Personnaly, I use the K380 for my computer science study. It’s a great keyboard, with some advantages like lightweight and cheap. One time I band it by misktake, the plastic can be reshaped easier and you don’t have to care about breaking it. Oh and it’s super silent
