I just brought my racing simulator home from storage, it’s a Logitech G27 with the triple pedals and gear shifter and it’s a blast getting back into racing on it again

Pro. I just got mine today. Hate all you want this wheel is awesome. Is it overpriced? Yes. But true force is crazy. I can feel the tires like never before. It’s so nuts. I love it.

I have a TMX pro that finally died after several good years of service. I always wanted to upgrade to direct drive but couldn't justify it when I already had a functional wheel. When it finally died I ordered the G pro and I'm really excited to try it out.

My order was cancelled by logitech 2 weeks after ordering. After being advised stock was available, it was cancelled again. I ended up getting a moza r5 with the Brooks raslution 2 after watching a video you had posted earlier. Best move ever. The r5 packs a punch and have saved a ton of money that I've used to get a rig.

@grahamkelly8662 it was not the best but worked for a year. I have since sold the r5 and got my hands on the logitech Pro once it became available here in New Zealand.

@grahamkelly8662 On ps5 and personally yes. It's expensive but it's the only dd I could get here I New Zealand for ps5. Plus its pc compatible but im primarily on ps5. I did explore fanatec but they won't ship here. I have no issues. 11NM of force is plenty but I drive a lot lower. The true force is nice as well. The only downside is a lack of ecosystem. The logi forums do advise they are working on things so its a wait and see.

Yes please do a comparison between the Fanatec DD Pro and especially for Gran Turismo use and the driving experience each provides (considering the Logitech has the additional Trueforce telemetry feeling through the wheel).

I've just bought this setup, it was a lot cheaper than the Fanatec 8nm DD Pro in Australia....$800 dollars less with a headset and racing gloves thrown in for free...I can't wait to start racing with it...thanks for the review

I also own it and got an even better deal £1174 total wheelbase and pedals. I think Trueforce really does add to the immersion. I understand people's gripes if they like the silent wheel operation but with a headset on and Trueforce set to around 25 on GT7 I think it's feels sublime

@@PUMPDAD01 direct from Logitech. There was a very small window of about 48hrs when it was first announced that the wheel was £850 and the Pedals £225. So it was even cheaper than I said it was £1,075

Thanks brother for the review. After getting back into sim racing and a new passion for Assetto Corsa, been looking to upgrade from my old Logitech G920. Not a fan of the Logitech G920 pedals, the brake is ridiculous. The wheel FFB I'm not a fan of either! Was debating between this and the Moza R5, I've decided for the long term to go with the Logitech G Pro wheel. I've not heard good things about the Moza wheel and FH5 which I look to play in the future. It was £1199.36 with the Wheel+Pedal Combo and your 5% discount code.👌

What happens for example in GT7 if I set the max torque to 5/10 and on the wheel I set it to say 5 nm? Does this mean the effective max torque would be 2.5 nm?

The i.d chip is in the base on ps and in the wheel for xbox .So you can throw and xbox wheel on your ps base and it will work on x box but not the other way round .

Great review and love your racing rig setup! Very tempted but had a mixed experience with G923 on first Xbox One and now Xbox X, lots of compatibility issues, updated software via G-Hub on a laptop to work with Forza Horizon and now doesn't work with Forza Motorsport when expected easy plug and play hence why I bought a console in first place - Logitech tech support were no help, just gave me standard G-hub solution but doesn't work on Xbox. So if same case with this then will hold off or look at Fanatec.

What was your previous wheel? On the G923 I felt the TrueForce was very sutle nothing amazing to be honest, with the PRO wheel it's much better. Moza is an excellent upgrade to go for if your coming from an G923 you won't be disappointed.

Can I use the pro pedals on my g23 or g29 wheel? These pedals are getting worn sloppy and squeaky but my wheel is still in great shape. Hoping I can just upgrade the pedals but wanna make sure it will all connect to my ps5. Any advice or knowledge on this is greatly apreciated.

Vow bro, I got di buyer it ages and the guy who built it was a bit more of an effort than the first thing in my head last week to see what the results are and what we can get from them in a separate document so we have to put together the necessary information for our next course and we would appreciate the information we may have on our end as a matter to be resolved in our next step by creating an alternative method of action for a while to get the ball to be done before I can come home with a couple more of the reconstruction and a half day on Sunday night so we could just go out and see the snow ❄️.

I saw a review that said If you have the base with the ps5 wheel, then you just need the xbox steering wheel to connect to the base and it will work with xbox. That's why I got the ps5 version and am now waiting for the xbox steering wheel to be available to purchase.

Bit silly that I couldn't attach using that front screw hole, but yeah that makes sense using with the clamp.

The weight of the base really works well on a strong desk best secure clamp I ever had.Moza want £65 for their ugly metal clamp if not with the R5 bundle Fanatic I think £45,the fact the G Pro clamp is just a single bolt type and holds so well in great.

@@teggsy2165 I was so impressed by how solid the clamp is I've never bothered to try and screw it down to my cockpit .Maybe the big squarish form factor [or shape as we used to say lol]helps it's stability Also the QR is so good it makes you take it on and off when you only have the one wheel ha ha my excuse is if I'm watching tv on my monitor

I'm now on my second wheel and base from Logitech. The customer service is awful and they really don't seem to care that they are sending out faulty products. The wheel will not calibrate itself properly and always sits just to the left. Logitech agree that this is wrong. After an hour or so the wheel will continually twitch, in race and on loading screens. When first turning on, all settings will be automatically maxed out and you have to change profiles to get it to change. Not an issue, until you have to continually restart due to the constant twitching. I've got all the test videos from myself and emails from Logitech. If enough people want to see them then I will upload it as a video.

The wheel is rlly great even tho i dont own one. I rlly dont like how they still dont use usb c. I also dont like the price to performance ratio. You can get much better dd wheels for like $700 from fanatec or moza racing or something. They should also start selling other types of wheels such as a firmula one style wheel or smth. But the wheel's performance seems really good!

@@DunnoTmind If you've got a limited budget maybe a Fanatec GT DD PRO is a better option, go for the direct drive rather than the belt driven plus you can upgrade later on.

I own a gt dd pro. For $800 with pedals I think is a better deal then this. No plastic. Did I mention it comes with the pedals for $800? Not 1200 like this. Idc about 11nm. 8nm is enough for me. Im not going to gym for arm day when racing. Cheers.

Agreed, but for console players the options are limited. For someone who only plays something like Gran Turismo it's a perfect solution with Fanatec being sold out frequently

Apologies for gate crashing with a totally off topic comment/question for yourself or anyone else who might be able to help. I've got a thrustmaster t300rs wheel but now an xbox series x. I'd seen a get around for my problem was drivehub. Acquired and excited to see the wheel kick in again. Everything working bar force feedback. I've found a video on KZfaq (for the t300), with the same problem and he said that a firmware update is needed. This video is a year old and l have left a comment on it regarding my plight, but no reply. Fast forward to the here and now and l've heard reports of the latest firmware update is bricking the wheel! Following a thread on Reddit and the problem is either a) the firmware update by thrustmaster, b) a PS5 update or c) a mixture of both. I don't want to muddy the waters of that thread as mine obviously is not the case of the Reddit users on PS5 as l'm running mine through drivehub and an xbox series x. Do I settle for a force feedbackless experience or do l risk it being the thrustmaster update and bricking my unit? Lastly,.back on topic, if l had 2 G spare l would definitely have your set up. TIA to yourself or anyone who can help.

As l said earlier, as much as l'd love a DD wheel, it's out of my price range. Also,. given what l've said previous, even though my wheel is working, anyone on the market for a wheel probably will do a wide berth on the thrustmaster t300/t300rs. Thanks for the reply though 👍

I owned g920 then TH TX and today DD2 from Fanatec. I do not trust a brand which makes keyboards. But this wheel highly recommended for e sport players because this will be 2023 wheel used in the finals as G have all the money and gear to support events. Today there is no difference what you choose really. The questions is how seriously you looking at this hobby. Because gear not going to make you faster. But Direct drive will! So if you rockin an entry level base look at Monza will save some cash rather than this. You will use 5-8nm in reality so don't think that 10--20nm is something you need.

The pricing is so much above the g923 😐 Logitech should have a model with direct drive between the g pro and g923. Like a g924DD not as strong as the g pro in the same housing as the g923 (and same pedals as the g923).

Bought the PS version of this and love the detail on the force feedback with the true force. The G923 true force is terrible but it definitely works with Direct Drive. Haven't used any other load cells but really like this one. Only thing you really need to wear gloves as I find the stitching rubs on my hand with the force feedback

Moza build quality is excellent and performance is awesome but I hate the initial config messing around with things when things works its great but when they don't it's just a hassle and no console support are my main gripes with them.

Sorry but im really struggling to see how this is the best wheelbase you tried.... As long as its using a servo motor with decent power I think that FFB settings are more important than anything else. Pretty much all direct drives are as good as one another and its really down to the ecosystem which this lack completely ....and the build quality.

Nothing from Logitech yet, but from what I've heard its coming. I did try connecting the fanatec shifter to the wheel base on a console but it didn't work but it will work on a PC if you plug the shifter directly to you PC and configure ingame.

"pro" i own the dd pro fanatec stuff , ive got fanatec ahead in price 8nm + csl load cell brake pedal , fitment , adjust ability , upgrading , all console use , better materials , the logitech pro stuff needed to come in well below the fanatec kits prices , i think u need to compare it to the thrustmaster kits , logitech vs fanatec is not a fair fight and a slam dunk fanatec win

I own the bundle got mine on Logitech LOGIDAYS sale total price shipped from the Netherlands to the UK £1212.46 so many people moaning about it's price it's a fantastic price for the quality and what you get.The true force is hit and miss for sure it's not supported by many games I guess mine is off in my own profiles but if you use G HUB start default game ie DR 2 some cars seem to use trueforce and I wonder if that is just lazy developer adding support for just some cars.
