The fourth episode of my international studio logo series is here once again. The logos I compiled for this episode, are from a ship load of anime and films that were presented from two boundaries in the Republic of Korea.
Requests will not be accepted at this time. I will be flying back to the U.S. by taking a break from Asia, and planning the next showcase of logos from Brazil where I want to showoff the gems for the next episode. In honor of the upcoming 2016 Rio Olympic games, it will be granted as a special request by Logo Archive and CANAL MV1.

Fun Fact: The music heard around 9:12 are the first bars of "Song of General Kim-il Sung." Used in broadcasts in both TV and shortwave via KCTV and Voice of Korea.

South Korea is a textbook example of how logos tell about the evolution of cinema: before, the South Korean was an industry internationally known as keen on ripoing off HK martial arts films and Japanese anime and tokusatsu films, and as such, its logos tended to be cheesy. Nowadays it's a force to be reckoned with, and the logos are gorgeous. About North Korea, well, just check that logo that combines Korea Film and Mosfilm.

Not to mention, South Korea must have had a little influence on some American film studios when it comes to their company logos (I.e. Han Lip).

there's a new version of the logo at 9:09, i just saw it on a nk tv stream. unfortunately i was unable to capture it. only difference was that the molecule model was animated and the bg was blue. movie intro was dubbed over the logo.

BUM & Seoul Animation is famous film production for kids in South Korea, and Daeyoung Panda is most famous kids movie video production in South Korea.

3:29 On a blue background, we see a big panda (possibly the mother) waiting for the baby panda. The baby panda then appears and jumps to the mother's hands. The mother then kisses the baby on a split second, while then both sees at the viewer and thereupon the mother kisses the baby again, but with normal view. Every time the mother kisses, a heart is seen from the top. The baby then sits from the mother's hands and the mother then sees the baby. A flat circumference, which in the top says "DAEYOUNG PANDA" and the text in korean appears in the bottom, flashes from the two pandas. The whole result then zooms out a bit, and the company's name, in korean, again, flashes from the bottom of the result. The background in the left is in white and the other is pink. White screen appears in front of the blue screen at the final result. FX/SFX: All 2D animation, obvious for it's era. Cheesy Factor: Everything! The animation is a bit choppy, The company's name is just no good, The pandas aren't unnecessary, The logos are meant to be serious, and the text in the final result superimposes the company's name. Also, the white background is totally unforgivable, even if unintentional, And they would put any music in the first place, but instead... Music/Sounds: They've got ONLY an announcer speaking something in it's traditional language (Yet again, Korean), which adds to the scare factor! Availability: Rare, bordering on extinct. Might be released in korean VHS from the time, but outside South Korea, it's unknown. Scare Factor: It ultimately depends on what you think on the subject matter. First-time viewers: Medium to High. The pandas, the sole announcer and the choppy animation can uncomfort more than a few audiences. Low to medium for any person who cannot stand the cheesiness of this logo. And less important, The scare factor may vary for those who used to it. Otherwise don't watch this on the dark.

I found it on a playlist full of North Korean films list, but this one was titled in Russian. My apologies for the misleading translation; I'll look to see if I can send you the link when I find it again.
