@@johnpjones182 yeah it’s so inconsistent w/ silver age style bizzaros. That why the John Byrne & Bruce Timm versions are much better characters. There was a Titans comic (the 1 about the night wing team not the Tim drake Robin team) in the late 00’s where Joker teams up w/ Bizzaro in a flashback & the Bronze Age Teen Titans use solar radiation to make bizzaro weaker to the point he gets all skinny like shaggy

Hero looks like a create-a-character insert from pick any video game ever. Lois Lane is a Metahuman, because being grabbed by the hair at superspeeds, would cause whiplash, and not a full on decapitation... Silver age superman when he touches someone puts a invisible force fields around them that he also has on him at all times that's also why he can carry stuff that should collapse under its own weight. Zoom has speed force aura so anybody he touches becomes as durable and fast as him but that was made up after the silver age.

I love Sasha's take on Lois Lane stories. A lot of Lois' bizarre behavior is explained away when you remember she was written by men in the 1950's.

It was kind of shocking to see the 1940s stories abut Lois marrying Mxyztplk or getting superpowers and realizing that, while they hit a lot of the same story beats as these later ones, Lois herself is behaving in a much more comprehensible, even heroic manner. There isn't the insane man-thirst to marry absolutely anybody, or the unquestioning acceptance of psychological abuse. And Clark/Superman even treats her as much more of an equal. The stories feel more modern than the later ones from the 50s or even the 70s.

DC Super Hero Girl Show had an episode with Bizarro Supergirl where one of the jokes was about Batgirl trying to figure out what was similar and different between her and Supergirl. Bizarro Supergirl is violent and angry and destructive but so is normal Supergirl but then Bizarro breath fire which Barbara says "Okay now that was different" then starts making a list of differences and similarities between Kara and her Bizarro. It’s just the paradoxical rabbit hole you have to descend when figure out how to write Bizarros.

The wisecrack about Lois's legion of exes makes me wonder about Lana Lang in the same regard. Lana was originally an expy of Lois, after all, but she was also a reserve member of the Legion of Super-Heroes and had two distinct heroic guises. She had at least one super-hero boyfriend, Vartox, and at least one super-villain stalker. Were there others?

@@pedrovallefin8406 I honestly cannot remember the name of the character. He was a one-off villain who had known Clark & Lana back in Smallville. During their high school days he was an even bigger dork then Clarke pretended to be, but as an adult had become a super genius and had devised a high-tech prison for Superman's villains. Supes upstaged him by picking the prison up and putting it into orbit, causing the former nerd to hate him. He eventually kidnapped Lana and, when Superman arrived to rescue her, confined him in the prison with red sun radiation. I hope that is enough information to help you track down the story. Unfortunately, although I still have a copy of the comic, I am blind and thus cannot sift through old issues effectively.

I saw it in Superman's Girlfriend Lois Lane #58 (Arabian nights Like Arabian days More often than not are hotter than hot In a lot of good ways) 3. Lois Getting Married To A Drug Dealer: At the beginning of Superman: The Wedding Album, Lois is already dressed up to get married... but it isn’t to Clark Kent. No, the opening pages see her getting married to Mr. Naga, a powerful drug smuggler who caught Lois in the act of reporting on her... only to fall in love. He not only agrees to marry her, but gives her a flight back to Metropolis. 4. Lois Lane marries Gangbuster" in late 1980s

Why the gavel symbol? Because when they scanned Flash he was holding the gavel in front of his symbol. As shown at 2:51. That's why Barry was presiding over the meeting. Also, I think they tried to make a bizarro Green Lantern, but his ring would only work against yellow things and he didn't have a lantern to recharge it anyway.

"It /wasn't/ me, Barry." Obviously this couldn't actually be Eobard, because Lois doesn't have a Locardian connection to Barry Allen-- yes, Eo, it's definitely Iris that you want to marry. I'd say he should drag "Hero" to 25th century court for that blatant infringement on his brand (no, shut up, Barry), but taking legal action against someone is probably equivalent to a proposal of marriage in bizzarotown. As an aside, I'd like to take this moment to defend my boy's fashion sense, because outside the bright yellow onesie, he's got some... some definite /looks/.

Have you reviewed ACTION COMICS #260, where Superman proposes to "Mighty Maid"? Some of their thought balloons, dialog when they are alone together, and kisses are rather disturbing when Mighty Maid's secret is revealed. Also, like all the Superman series stories in the 60s, the opening caption has to include "one day", "At the Daily Planet, one day... " In some stories it got as ridiculous as "One day, as a fleet of alien spaceships attacks Metropolis... "

I think Hero had a gavel as his chest symbol because Flash was using a gavel while presiding over the JL meeting. Because why not?

Well, I actually read a lot of these, but this one I don't recall. Nice shirt, but I think you should have shirts with Team Lois and others with Team Lana! I was reading comics in 1964 and I had access to my Uncle's huge collection of hundreds of comics from 1941 to 1965, and he had a lot of Lois Lane comics, and, l bought them too as you had to buy whatever the drugstore had. And they mostly had DC. Anyway, I was Team Lana for a long, long time! In fact, not even Margot Kidder got me to change. It was Teri Hatcher that finally got me on Team Lois! Then the new cartoons, and Erica Durance. But I would definitely buy both a Team Lois and Team Lana shirt.

Kurt Schaffenberger inserted himself into the narrative as the doctor initially attending on "Hero", he did that a lot in the Silver Age.

Long time viewer, first time commenter... So, this video is a little old, but... Ok, I love your appreciation of the obscure and random and weird. And so, I wondered if I could... poke the bear... and see if one of these inspires your investigation and analysis. 1) The relatively well known but rarely discussed... Composite-Superman... the tragic tale of a diver turned janitor turned villain turned hero. 2) The Sand Superman Saga.... possibly Clark's greatest villain no one remembers.
