Loki did not save the Multiverse, nor did he Become he who remains. Kang literally schooled and gave him game again so he can understand. Loki can’t travel the multiverse. He can only go back in time within the Sacred Timeline. HWR told him he paved the way for him to time slip. This is clear during the episode. Kang also told him the variants are here and it’s too late. When Loki said I’ll kill them all. HWR just smirked at him. Loki isn’t running nothing but following what Kang set him off to do as he told him in season 1

When Loki asked Kang if he was offering mercy for Kang, or for Loki, truly it was mercy for Loki. "Go live with your friends on the sacred timeline, so that you don't have to bear the burden I now bear." That is why he said "I know, champ" so sadly. He knew what it meant for Loki to not accept the ultimatum.

I agree with that assessment but I also think Loki is pulling a Doctor Strange move where he sacrifices himself either because he has hope or he plans to implement a way to reboot the universe after the multiversal war destroys everything so that incursions won't be possible anymore.

Preferably where they, you know, spend some time OUTSIDE THE TVA more than a few episodes. That's the problem with the Loki series. Too much time spent inside the TVA instead of exploring the multiverse.

A part of me wants a Season 3 of Loki, but the other part of me felt satisfied with how Season 2 ended. This series has been an amazing ride. They made the story simple to understand but also very entertaining. I want more series from Marvel to be having similar vibes to this. Closest ones that I could recall was WandaVision and Moon Knight. Top 3 best recently Marvel releases in my opinion. Good job to everyone who works behind the scenes of these 3 series.

Loki Seasons 1 and 2 were so amazing, it would be difficult to make a season 3 that could compare, but, that being said, who wouldn’t want to see them try. We have at least 2 years before Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars. I could support 2 years of TVA Kang hunting with Renslayer as another antagonist. 1 episode for each Kang on their list would be just about perfect. And a scene where Mobius actually rides a jet ski on the water.

Honestly called it ALL THE WAY UP to the point where I LOVE the twist he just took it upon himself, only thing I DIDN'T see. Where Council IS here still , they're STILL IN the chaotic time. Where the "sacred timelines" probably how THEY took their times, into circles like bands AND threads where loki learned to JUST wrap them all up and out AS a tree

I'm trying to figure out HOW / WHERE they could meet? Like at the end of time? Loki projecting himself into a timeline? I mean, Other than the monitors, can the TVA even SEE Loki... like outside of their windows or wherever the loom used to be? Just don't know that Thor COULD see him or would get it if he did. I mean even using the quantum realm to go outside of time, doesn't put them in the space of the TVA and the TVA is not in the space of the Void at the end of time. Is Loki in the void at the end of time where Renslayer or the other Lokis can get to him, is he where the citadel was? Is he somewhere else as he walked off on invisible steps through a rift?

“I know champ” He Who Remains wrote all of this out and gave Loki his powers to basically replace him so he would be free to travel and wreak havoc or help with the variant war. This has also happened before that’s why HWR told him he likes this version of him better than the other one he had to deal with

I would be so down for a series like that. The team behind Loki created something way too powerful and amazing to just be a one-off and a TVA series would be a lot of fun. But yes, Loki himself can't really come back because the series wrapped up his story really well (at least, until the rest of the Kang/multiverse saga movies come out) and bringing him back for a regular role would be doing the Loki series a disservice.

#1 Loki did not checkmate Kang, Kang wanted an escape from a prison he had created and he forced Loki to take his place, so #2, that doesn't make Loki the god of stories, more like the multiverse custodian.

I think that Loki becomes "Atlez," the custodian of the multiverse. The being known as Atlez was the custodian of the Multiverse, his task was that of monitoring the various realities, keeping them maintained and preventing them tumbling into the Cosmic Abyss. Atlez died and was replaced by his successor Atleza

Honestly this was one of the best projects and shows in a long time,Loki’s journey was great he started off as a cocky god then by the series finale he becomes a selfless hero who saves The Whole MCU MULTIVERSE, one of the best developed characters in the MCU and he’s not even the main Loki, like Tony, Peter, Guardians Of The Galaxy and so on.

@ShadowmancerLord impossible. There's no way he's not involved in the future of the kang storyline. Somehow, 1 or all of the Kangs will want to take back control of the mutiverse. Anyway, he was on Jimmy Fallon recently trying his best not to reveal what happens next in the story. He knows, but as always wouldn't share. He wouldn't know if he wasn't involved.

Wow, great concept. A weekly origin story of a Kang variant and the TVA's challenge to deal with them. Brilliant plan and a direction in which I hope they follow. Jonathan Myers is an amazing actor and has brought the Kang characters to life, which would be a sublime use of his talent. Kang is one of the most interesting characters I've seen in the MCU, and I really hope they go down this road 🤞🏻

I think the line about “never stop me before. “ is overlooked. I think the writers are implying there’s a chunk of time in Loki‘s time slipping where he actually encountered the other variants of Kang.

Feel like maybe spinoff or something that'll be revealed in Secret Wars or in another Multiverse project like Fantastic Four ( if it's really a Multiverse film where the Fantastic Four aren't from the main MCU universe) with the TVA or Loki will set up Secret Wars and unite the heroes. Either way no season 3 mainly cause with Loki where you go for 6 episodes after that?

I was lukewarm to the series in general but the ending absolutely knocked it out of the park - by far the best thing Marvel has done in ages. What really confuses me though is the relationship between branch timelines (presumably now no-longer having incursions due to Loki in the middle of Yggdrasil keeping them apart) and different universes as shown in Multiverse of Madness. I thought each universe would have its own set of branch timelines but Mobius referring to 616 as though it were a branch rather a separate universe boggles my mind.

What if Ravenna doesn’t die in the end and helps a future pruned Kang tame Alioth. Thus this Kang becomes he who remains and takes over as he wins the multiversal war. Nothing changes because it was always meant to happen… the infinite loop. Loki needs He Who Remains to become the god of stories, and Kang needs he Loki to become He Who Remains.

I don't think the second edition of the handbook would have information about the loom, simply because there is no loom anymore. It probably has stuff about, I don't know, how to maintain healthy branches, what to do in case they get too entangled (incursions?), etc.

Victor Timely was the absolute best. Passionate, funny, and endearing. The way they were increasingly rushing his bewildered self repetitively down through the TVA halls with his feet barely on the ground during the finale was so funny!😂 The ‘what is happening?!’ face is the best!!!

@@Tu51ndBl4d3 Well… unfortunately he is in the middle of a messy trial for reasons I’ll let you look into and determine for yourself. The question is if Disney wants to continue having him involved in future projects as Kang or not based on the actor’s reputation from the courts findings and ruling. There’s always a chance his reputation will be cleared, and he will still be employed by Disney- but as of the date of this post it’s still all up in the air until the court ruling.

One thing I don't get it, is the "What If" animated series we saw The watcher protected multiverse against the infinity Ultron, so why the watcher/watchers won't take actions against when TVA or the "Who he remains" pruning the branch timelines (Alternate Universes). Can anyone explain?????

I hope they don't do a 3rd season. It was a perfect sendoff and sets it up so he can help the Avengers during Kang Dynasty. I just want so badly for Thor to see Loki giving his life so that all other life can live.

No Immortus was referring to He Who Remains in the Quantumania post credits the “exiled one” . They didn’t care about Kang the Conqueror after they trapped him in the Quantum realm . It’s He Who Remains who Sylvie killed and opened the 616 universe to be discovered by the existing Kangs in the multiverse . And now Loki is allowing the multiverse to grow wild until it branches into another Kang variants universe .

I'd like them to learn that Loki is killing off variants of Kang as they branch, but he can't do this forever, as he's still aging. Meanwhile, Ravonna is able to save a handful of them and they become the beginnings of the council. They prepare to invade the TVA Mobius, kid Loki and Sylvie manage to pull Loki out of the timelines before the Kangs take over, and the ever multiplying Kangs start chasing the main characters through time.

I feel like he who remains still got what he wanted. I mean if you truly think about what he said in season 1, he states that another multiversal war will start and he will just end up right back as he who remains. Now with loki allowing branches to exist, the multiveral war will indeed take place and what if kang dynasty ends with he who remains winning once again

I think the ending is a way for Disney to be done with Kang, the TVA is hunting Kangs variants now, Loki is in his place, the timelines are good, now Disney can move on without Jonathan Majors if they need, The kang movie can just be dropped if they need to because of Majors' charges.

I hope this is the ending of the Loki TV series. I loved every second of it, and sometimes that's the best way to finish it. I would definitely welcome a TVA prequel or Kang chasing TVA series.

a series about TVA and mobius & b-15 should be its own standalone and not titled "loki" since it'd have nothing to do with his character anymore. loki series found its conclusion and had the most incredible finale, i wouldn't want that ruined it by forcing it to exist. an amazing closure should remain that.

Loki will probably act like Nick Fury now who will need to assemble MULTIPLE TEAMS to fight different types of Kang variants, from Street Level, to Magical, to Cosmic, to God Tier. The most powerful Kang The Conquerer would probably be the main villain of it all which they will fight in Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars.

So i have a question. What happened to victor timely? We see a young version of him at the end and he never receives the tva book which brings him to the tva, but when Loki destroys the loom and creates Yggdrasil, isn't victor still in the tva? Which would mean that variant is still hanging out at the TVA? maybe im reading too far into it. Maybe he's gone or maybe he's not and he'll help the tva.

The scene with young Victor not getting the book didn't make much sense to me. This is what must have happened on the Sacred Timeline before Renslayer interfered. But logic dictates that the branched timeline in which he did get the book must also still exist because the TVA no longer prunes branches. So Victor Timely must also still exist. Either he returned to his timeline and continued to live his life, or he stayed at the TVA helping OB.

I wonder why everyone sees kangs ship in Timelys gizmo. I thought it looked more like the ships energy souce and Timely even refered to it as a propability converter, which would fit the propability storm shown at the end of Quantumania.

it should be a kang a week like you said, however at the end maybe have immortis and loki have some sort of clash causing an even bigger bang, this one creating a beyonder who decides to put them in a pocket dimension for battleword for secret wars. as they fight the kangs though they offer some variants the option to join the mcu or stay but being forced onto battleworld with everyone else because they are variants.

The " chess match" @ 2:25 is a great theme for season 3. Is Kang saying, I know you are the one or does he have a ,more, sinister Plan for Loki? Either way the game will tilt back to Kang . Rook to Bishop
