It is sung in the perspective of the person Raining In Manila is speaking to, explaining that moving away from home to pursue better opportunities doesn't necessarily mean life is easier, but in fact harder because of the loneliness it entails.

This song is VERY TIMELY for my family and me! My 13-year-old sister has cancer, and on Sunday my parents called me asking to gather all my siblings to come say goodbye... We prayed, we asked for a miracle, and here we are 5 days later and my sister made a MIRACULOUS recovery and the doctors are amazed! God is good!!! Amen 🙏

does Saan Kakapit is the POV of the friend from Raining in Manila who went abroad? I was listening to your music while working (or should i say while I was spacing out at work) and then I noticed that there are some word plays from Raining in Manila and Saan Kakapit. I decided to check the lyrics on spotify and saw the animation - it was a girl, buildings, and snow. Suddenly, it made me miss my friend. It's been 5 years since we graduated and almost 3 years since she decided to pursue her life in Canada. She is always posting about all the glitz and glam of her life but I know she is having her own struggles too. To my friend, if you happened to stumble upon this comment, I just want you to know that I am so happy for you. I will always admire your courage. Please do remember that I am cheering you on from the other side of the world. I am proud of you and the person you are yet to become.

i’ve been listening to you guys for a while now, and hands down this is my favorite song. i never made it to the album launch tonight because of scheduling conflicts- and its a regret i always will have after tonight. i lost the love of my life 2 years ago, and there is only a finite amount of things and people that make me smile anymore. i hope you guys keep doing qhat you’ doing, and for a long time; because beyond the fact that you’re great at it, everytime i hear the groove and rythm of your songs, in my head i’m dancing to it with her. ❤
