Yeah it sucks how many boxing fans are racist cunts that completely ignore the fighter's skill. They were there for Mayweather vs Mcgregor and they're back for Loma vs Rigo. The stronger fighter wins.

People don't understand why boxers quit against Loma but until you've been in the ring with someone who completely dominates you in that fashion you'll never understand. What Loma does his opponents is borderline torture. It's easier to stay in a fight until someone KOs you or until the Ref stops the fight but Loma never finishes his opponents. He never puts them out of their misery. He just slaps his opponents around at will leaving them feeling like their is absolutely nothing that can be done about it. He KOs his opponents psychologically. This dude literally got reflexes like a cat. Yall really don't understand. But, It would take an ambidextrous fighter like Terrence Crawford to even have a chance against Loma. That's just real shit.

Rigo was classless and embarrassed the sport of boxing. Conor vs Floyd was 1000000x better and was the best thing for boxing, but Oscar and Bob Arum screw it up with corruption and horrible match ups. Tevin Farmer and GG got robbed horribly. Boxing is nothing compared to MMA

You're one of the best when it comes to covering boxing. Fair, balanced and unbiased analysis, along with calling out all the race war crap in your other video, which is usually a big part of comment sections. As for the fight, great performance by Loma, though I was shocked and disappointed Rigo quit like that, in the biggest fight of his career no less.

I don't think size had anything to do with it. Even if Rigo was the same size and age as Lomachenko, he would still get outboxed. Lomachenko is the more skilled fighter, end of story. Also BoxingWave, a lot of boxing fans on here are tribal, irrational, emotionally invested in fighters.

Loma beat Sallido, already, I don't care what the judges scored. Sallido was hitting below belt all night without deduction and was so desperate in later rounds that he was grabbing Loma just like Rigo did to avoid the KO. Don't fight in S.A.,Texas, unless you want it dirty with dirty refs and judges.

Your point about being overly invested emotionally spoils your ability to just appreciate someones talent. I remember being over invested in Kovalev and actually getting angry that Ward out boxed him and out "pro"d him with the rough stuff. EVen though I don;t like Ward''s tyle I realize his boxing is superior - and I always appreciated what a fine man Ward is and a credit to boxing. I just could not admit to myself Ward is the better boxer and the better man. We need to forget race and nationality and appreciate the talent. GREAT VID!

As Russian and a Kovalev fan, I would say Andre was better in the second fight, but the decision was bullshit, you can't count a knock down as a knock out, especially if it's a triple nut shot. Ward would've won if he fought by rules, I think. But he chose not to, and that what's so disgusting about it. Sergey is back now though.

Age not so much weight was the big factor imo. 242-12 is the combined record of the fighters Loma fought since he lost to Salido. 4 were world champions when he fought them. This is his last 9 fights and he only has 11 as of now. That said Crawford is p4p #1 Loma has to be #2

Everybody needs to give rigo respect. - 37 years old - moved up 2+ weight classes to face the pound for pound king. - had been in-active - was wayyyyy smaller than Loma. - Broken Hand 2nd round. [thats the word, or fracture] ~ -how it ended was messed up, but give him credit. Loma is my fav fighter, but i was cheering rigo to break his jaw lol. [loma would still be fine if he lost to rigo. im not sure rigo can or will come back from this loss.] Personally, I want to see rigo fight someone his size before he retires. #Boxing #LomaRigo

Fight was always going to go this way. Honestly, Rigondeaux is hard to make a star as while he is very skilled, it's a one-dimensional skill of defense that then relies mostly on a straight, uppercut or hook left hand. He makes for a lot of technically interesting fights, but quite dull ones too because of it.
@Serolfarim1
@Serolfarim1 6 жыл бұрын
He shoved walters to the canvass, bounced marriaga around the ring and tag him with body shots that caused him to struggle breathing and thus quit in his stool. Loma did not throw body punches against rigo and none of the bullying tactics he used against walters and marriaga. He went in the ring and basically gave rigo a message that I will outbox, school, frustrate and make you quit in your stool.

I'm glad I found your channel man. Your analysis and predictions are always so grounded and end up being spot on. You analyze things that nobody else does like giving Salido credit for his performance against Loma. You helped me predict this fight correctly despite emotionally leaning towards Rigo. I was pissed too. Not that he necessarily quit but that he didn’t even try to box. He wanted to cheat his way to some bullshit victory; holding Loma’s head, hitting low, trying to head butt, constantly holding and bending below his opponents waist. It was worse than Walters, much worse.

On your comment about Lomachenko hitting him after the bell. I would ask that you look at them on the ropes tangled together 3 seconds before the bell rings. Watch closely & you'll see Rigo throw a backwards elbow into the back of Lomachenko. Lomachenko then responds with a punch to Rigo's face after the bell. I initially missed it, but when they showed the replay you can clearly see Rigo throw a backwards elbow that lands squarely in Lomachenko's back. & it's then that Lomachenko punches Rigo in the head after the bell.

Very fair and true analysis...fact is Lomachenko was about to turn up the heat on his ass and he knew it was coming and didn't want to face it so he quit. Rigo is just not in the same class as Loma but right now who is? Mikey Garcia? Possibly but doubt it. Terrance Crawford is the only fighter I can think of in his class and obviously that fight is never going to happen. When a fighter just quits he lets everyone down

Honest and good assessment and you earned yourself a new subscriber because of it. One quick point, while I agree with you that Rigo is limited, especially when compared to Loma, what Rigo can do he can do at such a high level of expertise that he was a P4P fighter because of it. Can't take that away from him. What happened in the fight with Loma was that Loma is as special compared to Rigo as Rigo is as special compared to Nonito. Meaning, Loma had too wide a gap for Rigo's special skills to bridge.

I humbly disagree on a few points: Every time Lomo landed a clean shot Rigo was shocked by the power. Look at the time Rigo was holding Lomo, but then Lomo freed his hands and hit him with a two piece. Rigo got stanky legged on those shots. It was the hand that was hurt in the 2nd round, it was the 2nd round adjustment made by Lomo that couldn't be answered by Rigo. Rigo wanted to counter and he's accustomed to certain shots and Lomo didn't give him the counter left or counter right hook. You can't give up 10 plus pounds plus Lomo's skill set and expect to win. Rigo had to be perfect and he had to box which he didn't do. You think you can stand in the pocket and just use head movement and win against an elitely skilled fighter?

I didn't notice his father did that. I like your attitude, very logical breakdown. I didn't understand the ducking and just staying ducked. Now I understand the holding, IF his hand was broken..but it did look like he was getting frustrated and desperate from Loma's pressure

The man's name is pronounced Rigondo. But Americans stay butchering his name and call the little dude Rigondawe, some call him Rigondiao kind of like Pacquiao. Stop it can't y'all pronounce the word Plateau or faux or beau. Those are all french words that y'all pronounce correctly it's the same thing with the quitter's name that's a french name and I think he has distant Haitian ancestry because a lot of Haitians were travelling to Cuba in the early 1900s to work in sugar cane plantations there.

Perfect and correct analysis. The sport of boxing is the embodiment of bravery so seen a A+ fighter like Rigondeaux quit is not only bad for him as a boxer but bad for the own sport. I like Rigondeaux clich at the first two rounds when he was able to read Loma lateral movement and used to stop it. After that loma start pivot in-site the tigh pocket, going in and out and reset. Its a shame because i wanted to see Rigo fighting for his life in berserker mode at the 10-11th round like in the Kamagai fight (which he was winning but decide to finish)

It’s not Loma”s fault that Loma accepted the fight. He said that he was too big for Rigo but when Rigo keep calling him on Twitter, I am going to do this and that to you, Loma had to respond. However Rigo partly deserves some empathy.He defected from Cuba, left his wife and kids there and he is not welcome anymore there. He sold his gold medals so he could feed his family in Cuba. Those are difficult circumstances for anyone to overcome. He was very dominate in the other fights previously and when he realized that he could not compete with Loma, I guess that at his age he didn’t want to take a risk .It can happen to anyone .it’s a human reaction in a split second. Many people are not well-organized thought their boxing career. Now, probably he will lose his agency, and can not retire on $400000.I wish him luck .
