A team of Indian Navy divers is conducting a search and rescue operation. So far, three bodies have been recovered, while two remain missing. Anand Gawade, Rescue Team Member said, "We received a call around 1:30 yesterday that 6 to 7 people had drowned at a waterfall. We immediately prepared a team and set out for the location. Upon arrival, we found out that there was a family of 8-10 people sitting inside who didn't realize the water was rising. Since it rains heavily in Lonavala, the water level rose within 10 minutes, and they were swept away.

My elders always advice us never to go near the stream during rainy season but here elders took children including a toddler into the stream just to have fun , now where s the responsibility of being a parent/elder? I think they are doing the best. I watched other videos where dad vers find lot of rocks underwater that gives the problem to search the bodies. They also experience how their ropes get tanged underwater. Wish they find all the bodies. They are searching for one 4 year old boy. May God help them all.

I dont understand the facination of Indians have in going into water at such places. Never go on rocks in water. They will be slippery, and there might be deep pools in unknown places. In rainy season you might not experience rain but 10 km upstream even few minutes of rain can generate huge amount of flow. Plus why take family and kids in uncomfortable clothes and footwear Most dont know how to swim either( not that it will help in such cases) . I know of a indian couple who lost their 6 month old baby in a tourist made canal with no flow and just 3 feet water level. The baby slipped out of their hand and fell inside hit the bottom on its head and died instantly. This was in San Antonio Texas. They had to escape US in few hours else they would have been arrested for negligence.

Jab bhi koi aysi jagah jaaye to 2-3 baat pehle hi note kar le 1. Ek mote rope ka rakhna 2. Aage ka area kaisa hai, agar beh gaye to bach payenge? 3. All public plz wear life protection jackets b4 visiting such places to float in the water during such emergencies as a precautionary measure until you vl be rescued properly. Also a strong iron mesh or nets should be provided on both the ends of the land around, one after the other leaving some space in between, perpendicular to the water flow in order to rescue the ppl n animals from such threats inorder to avoid flooding them in water.

my elder brother went 2 days back for a trip to Lonavala with his office team and he got bumped by car and died at instant. we all didnt even know about he went their and we got the news on sunday, means yday. the tyre of the vehicle blasted at the side he was siting. he was just 27. he studied from iit delhi and he was earning 40 lakh per month. we lost him 2 days ago, i am his non biological sister. the pain it gave me and my whole family, i feel so sorry we couldn't save him on time. wish he would have told.
