We used to have electric buses in the 30s, they used this really clever system to reduce the weight of the buses and negate the risks of a battery fire! They hung wires above the streets and the buses could hook onto them manually to draw power, with refinements in technology the bus can connect itself at the push of a button, or even disconnect and reconnect automatically if you need to depart your lane! Awesome stuff, and no need to destroy the environment mining lithium and cobalt! Well worth investing in overhead lines on the busiest routes rather than having expensive batteries that will make the buses worthless after a few years.

When you press the ac button it will go on full blast as default, just press the left/right fan button to adjust the fan speed. When you press the middle (auto mode) button, it will run as heat (red) and vent (white) mode. If you press the ac button afterwards, it will run in cool (blue) and vent (white) mode. I pressed the ferry lift button once and it locked the bus up, wont move at all so dont touch it

How does the steering wheel feel on this ? In my garage we have the EE buses (BYD dennis one) It feels unnaturally heavy like it has 0 power steering. Overall for a new bus they dont drive great in my opinion, They look like an ADL but drive quite poorly, instances like your meant to glide over speed humps... no this bus lowers itself to a kneel position whilst in motion :) But as the person mentioned thats type training you. If this bus is made by the same people as the boris busses it should be better. The BYD busses look like a dennis, drives nothing like one. The busses we have feel like prototype vehicles very problematic for 20 plate and above busses with less than 100k on the clock

As a bus and hgv driver of more than 24yrs I find it odd that many bus companies won't let drivers out in a vehicle they haven't been "trained" on.. Any competent driver should be able to jump in any vehicle and work it out themselves. I drove a brand new Mercedes lorry a few weeks ago and, quite rightly, it was for me to work out how the controls worked and what dash switches do what. I had to go on KZfaq to find out how to adjust the steering wheel. "type training" drivers is patronising. I
