My father (galway born) was one of these hard working builders in b'ham i respect his hard work ethos of those times RIP DA. My mother was also galway born, also RIP MA. Proud of my heritage.

This song says it all, my dad was from Roundstone Connemara and my mum was from Tullamore Offaly. Dad worked on the roads over here with McAlpine (listen to the song McAlpine's Fusiliers).
